I'm just your shadow

Two years passed by like a wind, It was mostly uneventful since Father always made sure I had one of the palace guards with me wherever I go.At first I was uncomfortable but eventually got used to it. Einii-sama had taught me how to read and write which was very useful since the alphabet in this era is very different to what I had been used to.

I get up slowly, trying to shake away the drowsiness of my body. I walk up to my dark blue curtains and I unhurriedly open them.

 The sky was painted with the shades of a new day, seeping over the horizon. The large, glowing big blob of light arises, announcing a new day.

I steadily walked to my closet, finding what I think was a normal purple dress. When I pulled it out of my wardrobe, the apparel was much brighter than I thought it was. I internally cringed at the thought of me wearing that monstrosity, but oh well. 

 The sleeve top was scattered with different gems, displaying a flower; the base was a lace-like material. The sleeves were not that skin tight, and it looks like the frock was two separate clothing but it wasn't actually that close, it was one whole gown. 

 The skirt part of the dress was kinda cute, but for my 4 year old body, it was perfect. The skirt had a layer of polyester tulle, which were usually used for veils and gowns. The middle of the gown contained a cinched-waist design, defining my kiddie waist(lol). 

I quickly found a pearl necklace lying around my vanity. Looking through my headband drawer, I found a headband that is the exact color of my dress and put it on top of my head. I stared at the mirror of my vanity and a smile found a way to my face, I was happy with what I wore; though it is quite childish for my (age) body, I like it. It was not bad.

I walk into the long halls with the morning sunlight hitting my face as the maids and guards bow and greet good morning. As I push the big door with my little hands, the scent of freshly baked pastry hit my nose, excitedly I rush to one of the seats, "Zella, you shouldn't run, you might trip and fall" Mother lightly scolded me, I nod as the maid helped me getting the pastry on my plate. Grabbing my fork and bread knife, I begun eating silently. " Slow down, you might choke" Mother once again scold me, I nod and chew more slowly as the chocolate melts in my mouth.

Queen mother chuckles and drank her tea. It was a peaceful morning. After breakfast, I went towards the library, The library wasn't as big yet as the library in the canon but it had all the books I can ask, so who am I to complain? I picked up the story book of 'The white roses'. It's a story of a girl who had magic powers and wealth but follow her parents decisions like a doll but fell in love with her best friend even though she had a fiance set up by her parents.

It was a story directed for adults but there's not a lot of children's book in this era and I'm very bored so I decided to read it. 

After a few hours, I decided to go back to my room. I stood up from my chair and grab the book in one hand and push the door on my other hand. I nearly jumped when I saw father's butler in front of me. " Your majesty had requested your presence" I nod and let him lead me to his office. he announced our presence and open the door.

As I went inside, I noticed a boy about a year older than me with black hair and a girl with blond hair and an easy to move dress. Father was conversing with them that looks important so I decided to keep my mouth shut.

When I step closer to them, Father turned his attention to me, He was wearing a strict expression meaning that he called me here for something serious and related to the two.

"Zella, This is Kyle alder and Sarah Kennedy, they will be your new aids. Kyle will be your high steward while Sarah will be your personal herbalist as well as maid.They are both five years old, please do get along"Father said, I assume that father had already appointed them so I'll just introduce myself.

"It's nice to meet you, I am the first princess of the kingdom of Glanzreich, Zella von Glanzreich." I did a short curtsy with a small f̶a̶k̶e̶  smile plastered on my porcelain face.

I had always dislike meeting new people and try to befriend them since it's probably a benefit for the kingdom or some shit. While my father and my new aids were talking, I just stood there. Awkwardly; very awkwardly. So I decided to zone out the entire time,thinking about what will happen next in the story.

After more minutes of zoning out, we exit the office and head towards my room. I sat on my desk and continue reading the book. I was so into the book that I didn't notice two hours had already passed. I felt a light tap on my shoulder so I turned my attention to the person.

"Your Highness, you should take a break" Kyle said. I nod and stand up, lightly straightening my dress and went to find Einii-sama.

"May I ask where are we heading?" Sarah asks. "Big brother, Eins" I replied in a  soft voice. After what seemed like forever, I finally found Einii-sama in the Garden holding a wooden sword with Kai behind him and Ern looked like he was very irritated.

"Can you please prepare a table with tea and some snacks, past the rose field?" They nod and went to do as I took a step closer Enii-sama noticed my presence and tossed the wooden sword to the side so no one could get hurt.

Kai run towards me and hug me as I pat his head. "Can you believe it? Eins took my sword when I was about to strike once again!" "Well, it could have hurt Kai and it would have been a bigger incident so I prevented it" I mentally laugh as I crouch down, " Einiisama really cares for you, huh" I smile as Kai nods with a small blush on his cheeks 'so cute' I thought.

"Zella, you were called by father right?" Einiisama ask deciding to hear enough of Ern' complains. " Ah yes, Father appointed two new aids for me, Kyle Alder as my high steward and Sarah Kennedy as my personal herbalist as well as maid" "I see" Einiisama said as Ern nod. 'speak of the devil and he shall come' I thought as I hear light foot steps behind me.

"Your highness, the preparation had been finished"I nod and they both bow as they introduce themselves to my brothers and Ern. We went past the rose field and sat at the chair prepared, It was at the middle of the garden, where a clock tower could be seen not far from our position.

 My two new aids were standing behind me and I guess the awkwardness could be seen on my face since Ern decided to speak up, "Join us and sit" he simply stated, but I guess the two were surprised.But after a one sided debate, Ern won and they sat awkwardly since they were in front of high status people, I couldn't blame them though.

 Ern made some crappy jokes that Einiisama bluntly replied with logics and shit, both of them started to laugh and get comfortable, but I really need to tell Ern that his jokes are really crap and not funny at all.

Hi! Thank you for supporting I'm your shadow! I was actually thinking of updating on Christmas break since I have a project and home works due on Monday but my brain said that's bullshit so here I am updating on weekend where I should be doing my project and assignments.
