"Here's your change, have a good day," Eddie mumbled out to the customer, trying to sound enthusiastic. But he just couldn't. Mrs. Chen allowed him a job at the store, just so Eddie could get some extra cash. It was miserable. Rude customers, long shifts. It getting to the worst of him.

"Eddie...let's go home now. It's boring here, there's nothing to do. Why continue if it's making you so miserable?" Venom complained, groaning afterwards.

"Because if we don't work, we have no food. Do you know what that means? That means no chocolate or tator tots for you," he sassed back. Putting up with Venom was hard, especially when he was working at the store. But he felt somewhat grateful he was there with him. If Eddie was there by himself, he might just lose it. Having someone to talk to, it was good. Even though it made him look crazy just talking so suddenly out of nowhere, he just didn't care at that point honestly. Venom made a little grunt at the back of Eddies head, pouting. Just as Eddie was about to speak again, a lady walked in. She looked like one of those customers who would complain over the smallest things, and would ask to speak to the manager. Eddie groaned out loud, face palming. The lady immediately snapped her head towards the counter, death glaring the host. Eddie felt himself freeze up, as he got caught.

"Hello, would you like help with anything?" he asked, trying not to sound like he was dying inside (ME).

"Do you have a problem with me being here, huh? What was that groan when i came in here? Gosh, you people need to pay respect to your customers," she spat at him, already triggered it seemed. Eddie felt taken back.

"Oh, no that wasn't directed towards you. Sorry miss, if it seemed that way," he lied. He couldn't just tell her that he wanted her out for his shift to be done and over with. The lady gave him an eye roll, flipping her hair in the process while turning around to the sections of food.

"Eddie, i don't like that lady. Can i eat her?" Venom asked, almost excitedly.

"Venom no, we talked about this," Eddie whispered quietly.

"It's because you're too much of a pussy, isn't it?" Venom retorted back, shocking Eddie.

"No, it's because we are not going to eat someone just because you don't like them, okay?" Eddie basically spoke through his teeth, grinding his molars. While Eddie and Venom were having their conversation about whether Venom could eat the customer, the lady just began speaking VERY loudly. This caused both Eddie and Venom to halt, their attention brought over to the woman. Soon, they realized she was talking on the phone, gossiping about her partner, it seemed, to her friend. Eddie sighed deeply, rubbing his temples. The lady even confessed to cheating on her partner in the store, still speaking with her voice at high volume. The worker just ignored her, concentrating on finishing his shift. That's when Venom spoke up.

"See? She is a bad person. Let me eat her. She doesn't deserve to be alive. That lady doesn't even commit to her partner, a sign of cowardliness, " Venom spoke harsh in his raspy, deep voice. Even though Eddie slightly agreed with Venom, that wasn't going to mean she was going to die just because of that.

"Nope. You're not changing my mind, and that's final." Eddie was on the verge of cracking, veins basically popping out. At this point, he was speaking at full volume. The lady watched him from the aisle, confusion visible on her face. From her point of view, Eddie was a crazy guy who was talking to himself. Venom finally went quiet, soft grunts being heard from the symbiote. Glad that the conversation about eating someone was over, the lady got to the counter, ready to purchase the food in her hands. No words were spoken at the counter, an awkward silence exchanged between the two humans. When Eddie finished scanning the foods, she gave him the money and took the bags.

"Have a nice day," he spoke before she left. She only glared at him before mumbling underneath her breath.

"Crazy workers. People should really know who is working for them, before they hire complete psychos." Eddie felt himself tense, now deciding that everything he had previously stated to Venom was all going to go down the drain. Before he knew it, black goo wrapped around his body. It started at his legs, slowing going up to his head. He felt himself grow tall as the symbiote began to take control. Venom's tongue lolled out his mouth, sharp teeth now visible to the lady. They watched her eyes widen as she watched the before human transform into a different being. Eddie couldn't do anything at that point. To be honest, he wasn't going to do something. Venom was going to take care of them.

"What the hell is that?" She cried out. Venom let out a low laugh, his voice deep and gravelly.

"Your worst nightmare," he grumbled, now approaching the human figure. She stood frozen in her place, scared to move.

"Don't you dare talk to him like that. You have no right to, you pathetic human. Only i get to speak to him like that. For now, i'll give you a warning. If you even dare to come back to MY Eddie, you better watch out for yourself, or i might be visible in your future," he threatened, saliva dripping from his mouth. The lady nodded immediately, shaking her head up and down like her life depended on it. Well, it technically did. But, Venom wasn't just going to let her off, oh no. He had different ideas.

"Actually, I've changed my mind. I'm quite hungry and haven't eaten yet. Oh, how delicious you will be. Your liver and pancreas, such tasty snacks," he basically moaned out, thinking about it made his stomach growl. She stood still, not moving an inch. Before she could comprehend what was happening, she felt herself get enveloped in the mouth of the creature, disappearing into thin air. Venom swallowed his meal, not leaving any sort of mess left over. He took her whole, licking his lips afterwards.

"Oh my god, you just ate her. You ate her, oh my god," Eddie began rambling, still in Venom's form. Still shocked at what just happened, he couldn't help but feel good inside that Venom did that for Eddie. HIS Eddie, might he add. He felt Venom coil back up, retreating into the hosts body. There stood a shocked, blushing Eddie.

"Forget i said anything directed towards you," Venom growled at the back of his mind. Eddie knew that Venom meant all of what he had said, wanting to protect him. His heart warmed at the thought. He cared for him. Eddie couldn't help but smile. For the rest of his shift, he smiled and talked to the symbiote having a pleasant conversation.
