06 - Spying.

THE first thing Juvia saw when she marched her way towards the hallway was the familiar faces of Lucy's friends. They knew each other but never get to talk a lot and indeed, they were very kind to be associate with. It looks like they're waiting for someone the way they're unusually standing by in front of the classroom. Probably Lucy.

Juvia was about to enter the room when a pair of hands grabbed her shoulders, roughly dragging her from the side as the two surround her. The expressions they have on their faces doesn't look good, that they might suggest on picking up a fight on her.

Did she do something to make them go berserk over her to the point of dealing with her on broad daylight?

"U-Uhm...w-we can talk about this fellas."

"We really need to." She suddenly felt small from the unexplainable glares this scarlet-haired girl's been giving to her.

The name's Erza Scarlet. An average student and also a magnificent President on duty in class. Very much of a mature beauty although can be scary at times such as in a situation like this.

"You're close with Gray Fullbuster, right?" Another friend who happens to almost share the same color shade of Juvia's hair named, Levy McGarden.

Truly she is one of a cutie. A literal cutie that makes you want to put her inside your pockets on how small she is. Also holds great intelligence.

Although those weren't the case right now when Juvia felt like disappearing from the stares they're giving, "Oh my gosh please don't hurt Juvia. She'll stay away from Gray-samaㅡ"

"What? No, what are you talking about? You weren't thinking of us blackmailing you or anything right?" A giggle left Levy's mouth in amusement, earning one from the her friend as well.

"Err...were you?"

Erza's laughter died down to give her a stern reply, "Of course not. We wouldn't do that. We just wanna talk about something very important with you."

"And what is that?" Juvia's brows creased in curiosity, probably relating to Gray considering they mentioned him a while ago.

"I'm pretty sure you've heard of Gray and Lucy going out on a date this Friday, right?"

And the ache came back to her heart once again, thinking about the conclusions of the blonde accepting Gray's confession and most likely start going out with him after the date, "Juvia sure heard about it but doesn't exactly know when. So, it's this Friday, huh?"

Levy took glances if somebody's near and to her relief, there wasn't before leaning close to the girl, replying to her in a soft voice, "Yeah, and sorry for dragging you but we're planning on spying to them."

"No way. What if we get caught?"

"There's no way they'll notice us. Trust me." Erza had a confident expression as her index finger pushed on to the rim of her glasses.

Talk about that confidence though. It's as if she already planned this beforehand.

Well, she really did. And it was totally the dumbest idea that she agreed with. Wearing these cloaks and a bucket hat doesn't makes sense at all if we're talking about unnoticeable disguises. In fact, it's catching a lot of attention from the people that they pass by. It won't be long until they caught them spying.

"Why aren't you wearing the hat?" Asked Levy as she pointed the baseball cap that Juvia's been wearing.

"Well, Juvia thinks it's better if we drop these disguises and just pretend we're taking a stroll around like they do?" Juvia suggests, emphasizing the funny clothing they're wearing.

"Oh, you're right. How come we haven't thought of that?" Levy plainly took off her cloak in Erza's despair, "They probably thought that my idea sucks."

"They're entering a restaurant! Let's go, you two!" Levy pulled them with all of her strength, dragging them inside the place where the two they've been spying on entered, "B-But you left the cloakㅡ"

A yelp escaped her mouth from the sudden force as she let herself get tug by the other bluenette. It surely surprised her to discover the strength this petite girl contains. They were about to be seen by the guy when Juvia pushed them inside the restroom just beside them, "Hey! What was that about?"

"Gray-sama's about to see us!" Juvia answered, placing a hand in either sides of her hips.

"Here's the plan, we're just gonna pretend we're waiting for someone else if ever a waiter asks for our orders. We need to remain less suspiscious by then." Both nodding their heads in conviction before proceeding to the plan, making their way to some table not too far from the two.

They couldn't exactly hear most of their conversation but they could see them having fun since they're being smiley over here and there. As much as Juvia desperately wants to know what she's saying to make him smile like that, she could only watch in twinge.

The rest of the date was going well as what Erza and Levy would say until they last found them sitting on the bench. So far, there's nothing very dire happened to her eyes than seeing them constantly brushing skins until Gray did an action that had her heart racing in nervousness. He held her hand, looking at her lovingly.

Is he finally gonna say it to her? Right now?

"Lucy," his voice trailed and it continued to worry her that she abstractedly stood up from behind the bush they're hiding at.

It's a good thing that they couldn't spot them in here or else the spying operation will end right here. It'll be a total failure then.

"Juvia what are you doing?" Levy whisper-shouted to the girl.

Right now, Juvia can't find the words to say. She is looking down, her bangs covering those blue ocean eyes, "I-I'm sorry, Juvia needs to leave,"

Without sparing them another glance, she ran, far away from them. Erza didn't missed the sad expression painted on her face as she grow worried, her instincts getting the best of her when she stood up and followed after the bluenette only to witness her curled up into a ball under on some tree, "Juvia,"

"E-Erza-san, Juvia's sorry." Almost startled by the voice of someone, she looked up to meet her scarlet-haired friend.

"You...like him, don't you?"
