Do you want to know what I do when I fell like poop?

I go to the retirement home.

It's not weird. My mom's mom used to live here before she past away.

I have a great relationship with all the cute old people except Mary-Ann. She's so grumpy and mad about something that I don't know.

Oh well.

I open the door to West Hill home for retirements. I smile and walk in. I let let the door shut behind me and walk up to the front desk and ring the little bell.

Susan walks out and once she sees me her mouth opens in shock.

"Stella?" My smile grows and I walk behind the counter to hug her. She hugs me back and pulls away. Then, she slaps me on the side of my head. Ow

"Ow!! What was that for?!" I whine

"For you not coming here in like a 6 months! Who do you think you are?! Everyone basically forgot about you" she accuses and walks into the dining hall.

"Sorry but I've been busy" I say sheepishly.

"Busy enough to not visit us? Everyone's been asking about you but not Mary-Ann. I don't think she likes you very much" I simply roll my eyes. She laughs and gives me a side hug.

"Look, there's Kerry" she points to Kerry and I get excited.

"Oh i missed her so much! How is she?" I ask. Kerry is the sweetest person ever and simply my most favorite. She was my grandmas best friend.

"She's good and she often asks about you" my expression turns guilty and I frown.

"Well go make it up to her" she pushes me towards the dinning hall.

I nod my head and walk over to Kerry. Should i just say hello? Or scare her? Or accidently bump into her? Or-..

"Just go" Susan pushes me forward and i nearly trip but compose of myself and walk up to her. The seat next to her is empty. Everyday i would come in here and her and my grandma would be sitting in those exact same chairs. After she passed Kerry wouldn't let anyone sit in her seat.

I stand next to her and take the risk to sit down in her seat. Kerry turns to me.

"Oh if you don't get up i will throw all my hard candy at you" Kerry threatens. Damn i forgot how fiesty this old lady is.

"Kerry it's me" Kerry squints her eyes and her eyes grow wide.

"Stella!!" Kerry bassically shouts out and jumps in her seat. She indulges me into a hug and i hug her back with a little less force because she's old.

She Pulls back and her features harden and she slaps my head. Ow!

"Ow! Why do people keep on hitting me?" i ask rhetorically

"Maybe because you fell off the planet for no goddamn reason!" oof.

"Sorry" i mutter and she smiles nevertheless.

"So Kerry when did you get this sassy?" i laugh and Kerry snickers

"Oh, sweety i've always been like this, but maybe if you were here you would have known" i put my head down and sigh.

"I'm sorry" i mutter and Kerry brushes it off and says that it's okay.

"So how is your life?" Kerry asks. She and my grandma have always been fangirls of my life for no reason. I have no epic life. They are just cray.

"Nothing much" i say and Kerry looks at me as if him dumb, and i'm not... I'm pretty sure..

"What?" i ask her feeling a unsettling feel throughout my body.

"Don't give me that. What? That 6 months you were gone you've never had anything interesting happen?"

"Nope."

"What about that one guy and his brother?" she raises her eyebrows. Shoot, i forgot i told her about them. I thought when people get older they forget things. But no, i had to be friends with one of the people who have a great memorie.

"Oh... them" i nervously laugh. Kerry gives me a look to continue. Well, why not?

"Well Sean, the older brother, came back from college. And Christopher, the younger one who is my age, is so annoying i swear Kerry. He bothers me to the point. We had a dinner yesterday and he randomly got all mad when i was talking to Sean, and his mother asked me to talk to him, so i did." I finish and look away from her. That's all she needs to know.

"So let me get this right. you're all worked up because you had to talk to Christopher, that's a stupid name by the way. That's the name of all the stupid idiots in movies, you know?" i laugh and nod. Christopher is a stupid name on that account. Oh and Kerry has this need to speak her mind. She doesn't have any filter if it hurts your feelings then oh well.

"Yep"

"Lair" i do a double-take. Oh, double take. You're gonna make, make, make, make em do a double take! Okay, that's enough.

"That's not a nice thing to say" i point my finger and Kerry catches it and puts it on the table.

"I don't care, now tell me child!" ugh, fine.

So i tell her everything and to the point where he stormed out of my room.

"Well, why did you say that?"

"Because it's a sore topic; i was getting mad" i sigh and slump into the chair.

"Well apologise" yeah, like it's that easy. She doesn't know what Christopher is like.

"I'll try" no i won't.

"Good, now what's with you and this Sean guy?" my face heats up. Why does everyone assume we like each other?!

"No, it's not like that" i say and she hums. Yeah one of those hums.

"Kerry, he's like a brother to me" i say and she hums again.

"Stop" i whine.

"Fine" we both laugh and she tells me about the West Hill gossip.

Apparently Mary-Ann got engaged and now she's planning an escape. Man, old people have much more of a life than me.
