Marcus's POV

I sighed, bored and looked at my wristwatch. It had been more than thirty minutes my father was lecturing me, frustrated while pacing back and forth in the living room. My headache was getting worse. Moreover, my mother was angry at me as well. So now no one could save me from this torture.

"I will talk to Roland as well." My father snapped as he stopped pacing and put his hands into his pockets. "If his father saw what his son had done, he would get embarrassed." He shook his head in disapproval.

Roland's and my father had known each other since childhood. They were best friends. But unfortunately, Roland's father passed away two years ago.

"I don't understand whom did both of you take after?!" He snapped in frustration.

"I don't know about Roland, Dad, but I totally took after you." I stated and gave him a mischievous smirk. "Neither I, nor our country forget about you and Maria Rose. So let me remind you that you weren't different from me before falling in love with my mother." I declared, grinning sheepishly.

He averted his gaze without saying anything and ran his hand through his hair. I smirked at his expression, self-satisfied. My mother gave him a dirty look.

"It was before you, darling. You know it." My father pleaded. My mother rolled his eyes. "And it isn't about me who we are talking about." My father snapped as he turned his gaze from my mother to me. "And compared to your misbehavior, it was an innocent encounter." He said firmly.

"Yeah. If you say so." I teased him.

"Marcus!" He warned, giving me a dark glare.

I put on a black suit and checked myself in the mirror one more time. Today my father and I were going to an opening ceremony.

As soon as my father and I got out of the car, the journalists started asking questions non-stop.

Prince Marcus, what do you want to say about your naked photos?

Are you in a relationship with Anne?

Did you break up with Wilma?

Did you cheat on Wilma as she had claimed?

Your Majesty, do you approve Prince Marcus's relationship with Anne?

My father gave me a furious look and walked towards the entrance in quick steps. I frowned and followed him.

I yawned, rubbing my eyes and got up. I ran my hand through my hair as I went towards the bathroom. After taking a shower, I put on a gray shirt and black ripped jeans.

Suddenly, my phone rang. I grabbed it and looked at the phone. It was Roland.

"Good morning. Since when did you start being awake at this hour?" I asked, amused and smirked mischievously.

"Good morning. After your father had given me an hour of a lecture." He replied.

I burst out laughing. "He lectured you too?!" I asked, amused.

"Yes, and he was so intimidating." He sighed.

"Hey, hold on. Did you get scared of my father?" I asked, smirking.

"Dude, of course. Maybe you aren't afraid of him, but I am. He isn't just my friend's father. He is the King. If he wants, he can kick me out of this country." He said.

"Don't forget about your title as well. He can strip off your title too before kicking you out of the country." I teased him.

"Marcus! I am serious." He stated.

"Relax, dude. He will soften up. It is me who is in deep shit." I confessed. "Moreover, I stay under the same roof with him. So I am forced to hear his lectures whenever he wants." I added and sighed, running my hand through my hair.

"Yes, your situation is worse." He sighed. "I am going to Italy for a week to stay away from paparazzi." He added.

"Aww. Poor Roland! Are you deported?" I mocked.

"Marcus!" He snapped. "I just respect him." He mumbled.

"Yeah. Yeah." I teased him, smirking.

He sighed, annoyed. "Ok, I am hanging up. Bye."

"Bye."

I grinned and put my phone into my pocket and went downstairs.

"Come and see your scandal's consequences." My father snapped, frustrated as I walked into the living room.

I looked at my mother, giving her a questioning look. She sighed and handed me the newspaper. I took it and looked at the newspaper.

Fuck!

"Thanks to you now there is your scandal in the newspaper instead of the opening ceremony of the health care center." My father said in frustration.

"Dad, I am sorry." I gave him an apologetic look as I put the newspaper on the centre table and sat down on the couch.

I really felt bad, because I knew how much this place was important for my father as well as me. It was a big project founded by him which gave opportunity to poor people who couldn't afford it on their own.

He sighed, closing his eyes and leaned back against the armchair.

"You should stay away from journalists for awhile. So they will forget this scandal." He said firmly.

"OK, Dad. I will do my best. I will be careful when I am outside." I assured him.

"No, you will not stay in Sweden." He stated. I gave him a puzzled look. "I don't trust you. I am sure you will come with another scandal a few weeks later." He commented, giving me a knowing look.

I frowned, rolling my eyes.

"You are going to New York tomorrow morning. You will stay there for two months. There is a low percentage of that you can bump into someone who knows you and take your photos. But you should be careful and keep a low profile." My father demanded.

I nodded, giving him a bright smile. It would be the best for me. Two months away from paparazzi and my father's lectures. I would live a normal life without thinking paparazzi or someone else could take my photos and so on. As most people there didn't know I was royalty, I could live free and do whatever I want without my father's fear of what he would say if he found out.

"And after this fuss calms down, I will talk to Stella's father. You and Stella will get engaged." He informed, determined.

"What?!" I snapped as I stood up. "Dad, we talked about it, and you accepted that we will wait for a year before it." I reminded.

"Yes, but it was before this scandal. You will get married to her as soon as possible before you do something stupid and mess up it." He declared firmly.

Damn it!

I clenched my fist angrily.

"No, Dad. I don't want to marry. It is so early." I protested.

"It isn't up for discussion. You will get married. I hope after it you will stop acting like this." He stated as he stood up. "I am bored with your behaviors. You will marry her soon. End of discussion." He added firmly.

I frowned, annoyed. "Alright, Your Majesty." I said sarcastically and stormed out.
