I lost my stardust.

When I counted the minutes on the clock.
When I got rundown by the normalcy of it all.
When I figured out that goals are who you are.
When I was appreciated for my numbers but not my scars.
When I stopped seeing the clear waters and the cotton clouds.
When I gave up on the walls of my home and the symphony of its sound.
When I began searching for inspiration rather than feeling it by heart.
When I began searching for hope just to find a broken mirror and it's shards.
When I unsung the anthems of love and joy to feel numb and sad.
When I no longer looked at my childhood and shared memories with my Mom and Dad.
When I unraveled the mystery of the world but couldn't find myself.
When I embraced the portrayal of my soul based on their mindsets.
When I staggered on that path with no moonlight to guide my way.
When I stepped on the flowers to make a thorn crown for all the success that I may make.
