Purple at twilight time, was when I saw your silhouette.
Your shadow engrossed me, the skies went darker and our paths met.Yellow was the sun dress that I wore when we went on our brunch date.
Cotton candy clouds and brimming smiles, we basked in the warm glow of our own sunsets.Red were the smudges that adorned your cheeks and neck.
Reminders of our late mornings, early nights and sinful escapades.Brown was the coffee that you made me on a rainy day.
It filled me up with its aroma and the security of a better future and a sunny day.Gray was the hoodie, that I artfully nicked from your fresh laundry.
Its loose arms engulfed me in an embrace where time seemed non-existent and bounty.White were the lilies that you securely held when we fought.
Apologies and teary eyes made us stay together like those petals in this bitter raging storm.Blue was the colour of our invitations, surrounded with fleurs.
We stumbled on this journey and made a home filled with emotions, feelings and laughter.Green were the mountains that we scaled together.
At the top we build a sanctuary for our souls to intertwine and dissolve our fears.Black is the dress that I'm wearing today.
To bury my prism 6 feet under and with it my rainbow and heart remains.
