(A/N OH MY GOD I'M SO SORRY THIS BOOK HAS BEEN ON HIATUS FOR FOUR MONTHS BUT DON'T WORRY WE'RE NEARLY AT OUR FINAL DESTINATION)
'Hey,um kids?' Larold started drearily once he had gathered the entire cast of this book.'I have to tell you something...' A Large murmur broke out from the crowd of kiddos.Cassidy looked at Craig with a dissaproving glance for no reason. He quickly shuffled further away from her, feeling relieved when Tom caught a hold of his arm gently. He gave hima grateful look before turning back to face the main camp counsellor.'Okay,i've gotta be straight with you kids.' Larold took a shaky breath.Jacob looked up from his phone for once.'Get on with it,already!' he snapped before Daniel slam dunked him to the ground.'Whoops.' Daniel shrugged.'rEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE' Jacob screeched.Daniel quickly stepped onto him to keep him quiet.'Okay, yeah the camp is shutting down soon due to a little inconvenience called bankruptcy.' Larold blurted out.Nobody said anything.'And also due to the fact that most of our staff has either left or been fired due to chainsaw mishaps, goodbye Jerememe ,will be missed.' He finished.'Aw man, that's a shame, the friendships you make at summer camp are so fun...' Ricky trailed off wistfully.'Nobody cares-oW' Jacob interrupted before being stepped on again.'Just so you know, everytime you do something i don't like, that happens.' Daniel smirked at his younger brother.Cody looked at them, muttering under his breath.'Why is my family so dysfunctional...?'.'Well,uh yeah the camp shuts down in two days.' Larold told them.'So,make the most of it!' He said cheerily before sprinting away.'Oh boy.' Daniel said, realising all eyes were now on him.'Just so you know, you're now responsible for all of us.' Terry said.'NOT TODAY!' Daniel screamed, running far,far away.'Do you guys wanna go to the river?' Craig asked.'Sure.' Everyone replied, except Cassidy, who was still saying nothing.
'Hey,Cass,Can I ask you something?' Sammy questioned her once they made it to the river.'What?' She replied coldly, glacing at Craig once again.'You've seemed a little off these past few days.' Sammy noted.'So?' The other girl replied.'Are you alright?' Sammy questioned, flopping onto the soft grass.Casting her gaze to a group of renegade children who were attempting to light a fire.Sammy looked up at her friend accusingly.'It's because of Craig, isn't it?' She sighed.'What? No! What the hell gave you that idea?' Cassidy growled.'I've figured it out.' She smiled.'You liked him,and you thought he liked you, which he did,but when you rejected him for Daniel,he decided he should just give up and found someone else.' She finished, almost out of breath.'How do you know about all that?' Cassidy asked, almost creeped out.Sammy shrugged.'Just a hunch.' She replied staring directly into the reader's soul with her bright green eyes.'Is it really my fault?' Cassidy asked, tears forming in her eyes.'Well,yes.' Sammy responded, oblivious to her best friends' sadness.'It just wasn't meant to be.' She affirmed to her, pulling Cassidy into a soft hug as she started to sob.'If any time's the time to make amends,it's now.' Cassidy said firmly.Sammy nodded in agreement.'Yeah, come on,our time here's nearly over too!' She said, picking Cassidy up with relative ease.'I know you're tall and like super buff but you don't have to demonstrate that all the time, you know.' Cassidy quipped.'oH WELL!' Sammy responded. Now was the time, summer didn't last forever, but you could certainly try to make it feel that way.
