Hamilton's POV

After a few moments I look at Jefferson. "I... I should go back to work." I say.

"Right." Jefferson replies. Then I leave and walk back to my office. I have a fairly big office, some of them are smaller, but some are big, I would say there are more small than big ones though. When I get into my office I shut the door behind me then turn back around, walk to my desk, and set my coffee on it. I look up,

"GAHHH." I scream. A man with blood on his face stands there with a knife in his hand. I close my eyes and shake my head again and he's gone. It takes me a moment to calm down, and when I do I just sit in my desk so that my back is facing a wall and not the open. Then I wonder why I'm hallucinating so much, and why they're so creepy.

I shake my head, then look to my work.

Hours later. Which is now after work.

I walk into the kitchen-type room again, then notice multiple sugary treats on the counter. Right, there's that party. Someone else walks in and starts taking the treats out. Moving them to the main room I assume. I grab some coffee and leave the room again. Then notice a magenta before I bump into it. That's Jefferson's coat.

We both fall. "Wow, so tired that now you're bumping into me?" I say with a cold look, but then notice that it's King. He has Jefferson's coat.

"Oh hello Hamilton. Are you ready for the party?" I'm about to answer, but we hear Jefferson yell King's name. "Oh, I've gotta go! See you soon!" And he runs off with the coat. Jefferson runs, then stops right next to me to take a breath.

"Which.. way did he... go?" He says between breaths.

"He went that way." I point in the direction that King went.

"How does hh hh that man not hh hh hh need to beathe?"

I scan Jefferson a little more while he's here. He still looks exhausted. But I almost forgot what his body looks like, it's been so long since I've seen it. I feel like he's built muscle, but even with that muscle he looks a little thin. The way the back of his tank top lays around his waist and sides. I bet if it were skin-tight it would show that he's looking thinner than he should be.

Then Jefferson is off again. Running as fast as he can to get his jacket back from King.

I stand up and walk back to my office, only to finish some final documents before the party thing. After I finish the documents I walk down to the main area, where it's supposed to be. I open the door to see everyone there, did they all go early? Or am I just a little late? I shut the door and Peggy greets me in.

"Hey Hamilton!" She says happily, "You're a little late, hmhm."

"I, had to finish a couple documents." I reply.

"Documents? Never mind that. Come join us!" She pulls me to one of the couches in there and slams me next to Jefferson.

"Jeez Peggy! A bit violent much?!"

"Sorry." She giggles and leaves.

The party goes on for a while before Lafayette says, "Hey we should play a game?"

"Oooo! Great idea! What should we play?" Laurens says.

Eliza answers, "How about we play cards?"

"Nah, I say Truth or Dare." Laurens says.

"Sure!" Washington replies. He has us all sit on the couches in a circle. Then asks who wants to go first.

After a few rounds, everyone has been asked and has asked multiple times. Then it comes around to Lafayette.

"umm, Alexander. Truth or Dare?"

"I choose Dare."

"Okay then. Hmmmm. I dare you toooo. Go into that closet over there, and stay in there for 30 minutes with Jefferson"

"What?!" Jefferson and I yell in unison.

"But I didn't ask for a dare! You can't make me do that!" Jefferson almost yells.

"Okay. I dare you to spend 30 minutes in that closet with Hamilton." Laf smirks at this.

Knowing that I can't change his mind, I sigh and walk over to the closet. Then walk inside. It's about five feet wide and five feet long. I look at Jefferson, telling him with my eyes. 'Just get in here. He won't budge.' Jefferson then sighs and stands up, then walks into the closet with me. Laf smiles as he shuts the door and puts, what sounds like a chair barricade in front of it.

Jefferson sighs. "I can't believe I have to stay in here with you for 30 minutes."

"Did Laf seem a little happy when he put us in here?" I ask. Jefferson looks a little upset that I just blocked his comment, but he nods in agreement.

"Yeah, I don't know why though. I don't know what he thinks of us that makes him so happy." Jefferson answers.

We look at each other for a second. Then quickly turn away from each other. "Ugh! Gross!" We yell in unison, both backed against the opposite walls. Then, sort of laugh a little. But it's light, and faint. We can hear each other, but it's hardly noticeable. After our little laughter we go silent, and just stand there. Not talking, not moving.

After what feels like forever in this closet, I finally say something. Trying to make it a little more bearable in here.

"Jefferson."

"Hm?"

"You.. look kind of pale. And when King had your jacket and you stopped you looked thin. Are you okay? Is everything okay?"

"Do you actually care or are you just being courteous?"

"K-Kind of both." We both stay silent for a minute. Then he answers.

"Fine, I'll tell you. And not because I need it or anything, but just because you look like that type of person who'd just bother me until I told you."

I give a slight smile, but he can't see. It's so dark in here we might as well not be able to see each other completely.

"I haven't been eating well lately. Or.. at all for that matter..."

"How long?..." I ask softly.

"A couple weeks. It'll be 3 weeks tomorrow.."

I can't see his face, but I know he looks shamed. It must hurt not eating for so long.

"May I ask why?" Again. Softly, I can't throw away this precious information time. Jefferson stands there for a moment.

"You wouldn't understand." He says.

"I will. I've been through a lot Jefferson. I can and I will understand." I reply.

Jefferson stands there silently, then after a minute, answers again.

"I-I lost my family when I was very young. My whole family at once.. because of a stupid illness.... I visit their dirt beds now often, but, I always come back a little more depressed... I can't see them, but I can feel them. But I got so depressed that a couple weeks ago I just stopped eating.."

"Jefferson... I feel awful.. but.. I do have something if you want it."

"What is it?"

"Laf has to let us out first."
