Her reflection in the mirror did not look pleased. She frowned as she inspected the bite marks on her neck. She tried to hide with a conservative blouse with a high neckline, but it didn't work. She scavenged her empty suitcase for makeup to cover it up, and remembered that she hadn't brought them with her form her parent's house.

Nothing was going right for Krithi. She woke up late, couldn't move an inch after her exhilarating night, and seemed to have nothing completed from her mile long checklist. Not only that, but she had to bathe her children as well. It was a daunting task she was afraid to even think about. Although Aruvi had adapted to her mother's rules, the twins were simply too young to abide by her orders.

She covered her face with frustration, as her husband walked into their room. She glared at him briefly before trying to fix the pleats of her saree. "You're not ready?" He asked, patting his wet hair with a towel. He also had a towel wrapped loosely around his waist, which made Krithi's cheek burn. She momentarily forgot her anger, and focused on pinning the pallu to her blouse.

"I've been in the washroom for five minutes Aniket."

Aniket snorted. "Add forty minutes to that. You've been in the washroom for forty-five minutes, sweetheart. I have everything ready."

"What?"

"Everything in your checklist has been completed." He rephrased. "Myra got here with the food from the restaurant; Kanya helped with readying the kids, and the priest is doing all the preparations for the pooja downstairs. I put up the decorations and bought some extra supplies for the pooja from the small store a few blocks away. I had spare time to have a shower, and you're still not ready." He said, shaking his head.

Krithi was dumbfounded. She had thought Aniket had wasted his time. She had thought she spent only a few minutes in the shower. Except, after her long night, she couldn't help by have a long hot shower to ease her soreness.

Instead of apologizing, she pointed at her neck, blaming the marks to have wasted her time. "You did this." She blamed.

He smirked at her, striding towards the closet. "You're mine to do whatever with. You said it last night—"

"Still," She said. "This is unacceptable. How am I supposed to come downstairs and show my face? Everyone is going to think—

He threw the towel he held his hand at her face. Krithi was always thinking about other people's opinions. She sighed as she grabbed the wet towel off her face and threw it back at him. "This is serious! They're all going to think I'm some sort of sex-crazed monster."

"No, woman. They're going to know who you belong to."

"Uh!" She groaned, throwing her hands in air with exasperation. "This is not the time to show your possessiveness. How do I hide this?"

"I'll get Preesha. She's the makeup expert."

"She's here?" If Preesha was Here, then her in-laws and Chinna were also here.

"Yeah."

Krithi panicked. "Preesha will tease me. Get Kanya."

Aniket huffed. "Fine. But my sister is worse than you with makeup." He said. "Can't I just get Myra?"

"Just go get someone! We don't have time!" She growled, checking the wall clock once again.
