Chapter 1

"Cassidy watch out!" Elizabeth exclaimed in laughter.

"I'm okay thanks for asking," Cassidy huffed as she brushed off her clothes "Now where did my basket fall? It has the coins we need for the trading with the Leo's."

"It fell by the flowers, but I told you not to walk backward that's completely your fault, but anyways can we stop and get Charlotte?" Elizabeth asked.

"Yea let's get her and hurry before the ship leaves without us," she said.

The sisters rushed off to Charlotte's house through the Taurus' gateway. When they rang the doorbell Charlotte's little brother Travis answered.

Without a 'Hi' Travis shouted "Charlotte! They're here hurry up!"

"Coming!" Charlotte screamed running down the stairs.

Elizabeth, Cassidy, and Charlotte all exited the Gateway and were able to board the ship before the closing. They went straight to the breakfast buffet since they hadn't eaten yet, Elizabeth and Charlotte found there way to the waffles. They sat down to eat when Elizabeth saw a big commotion going on by the boat railing.

Woah what's that! Elizabeth thought. She then got up and walked over with Charlotte and Cassidy following closely behind in confusion. They didn't get there in time to see what happened, all they saw was a man being escorted off the boat.

Elizabeth sat back down in wonder why he looked familiar, while they all finished their food. Cassidy went to get a margarita, being 21 had its pro's. Charlotte and Elizabeth being only 16, they just got lemonade. They all decided to go to the pool before they got to the Island of Fire.

"So what exactly does your guys' mom need to get?" asked Charlotte

"Honestly I don't know, I just know we are supposed to go to Blaze's and ask for someone named Brandon and whatever they have, they put in this pouch she gave me." Cassidy responded.

"Well, when he puts it in the pouch we can just open to see it right?" Elizabeth questioned.

"Nope," Cassidy sighed, "Mom enhanced it with the Polly Vines so once it's closed it can't be opened by anyone else except the one that enhanced it."

They sat and relaxed at the pool for a good hour before Elizabeth needed to go to the bathroom. Elizabeth decided to use the one in the lobby since she could already see the line for the bathroom at the pool. Although she did not know where the bathroom in the lobby was, she figured she would just ask. She arrived at the front desk and noticed no one was around, not just at the desk, but anywhere in the hall. Then as she thought about it as she was walking she didn't see anyone. Why wasn't anybody here? Wasn't this boat just full as people? As beginning to freak out, she started to run back to the pool when everything went black.

"Miss? Miss? Are you okay? What happened to you?" a teenaged boy asked.

Elizabeth was still very groggy and very confused. She looked around and thought People, there are people, where did they come from? She was scared, her head was aching, questions were filling her head like, where am I? Where's Cassidy and Charlotte? Am I still even on the boat? Where is everyone? Who is this man?

She was snapped out of her own mind when the man said, "Excuse me are you alright? Do you need some water? Can I get you anything or can I call someone?"

With all these questions running through her head, all she could say was "Who are you?"

He chuckled "I'm Lucas, to be more specific I'm Lucas Wilson, part of the Leo's colony. I'm on my way back."

Elizabeth didn't think much of it so all she said was "Oh."

"So, are you going to answer any of my questions? Or do I need to ask them all again?" he laughed.

"Oh, sorry I'm Elizabeth Jones, part of the Capricorn colony," she said, "So what happened to me?"

"As far as I can tell I think you fell, I just found you here, I didn't see it happen," he answered. "So do you need something or can I get someone for you?"

"No I'm fine, thank you, I'm here with my sister and friend. Last time I saw they were at the pool, but I don't know how long I've been out." Elizabeth responded. "By any chance you know why no one is in the halls?"

"Um, what do you exactly mean these halls have been packed since boarding?" Lucas said.

"Wait what time is it?" Elizabeth said urgingly.

"11:42 am" He responded

"What time did everyone board the boat." She asked

"Everyone should have boarded by 9:30 am." He answered.

Elizabeth thought to herself, so if we left right after that man was escorted it must have been about 9:30 then we ate so when we finished it was probably 10:00, then we got lemonade which doesn't take that long so like 10:15, 15 minutes for the line. After that, we went to the pool for an hour before I left and they stayed so it was 11:15. Then I'm here, 11:42. Wait! But the halls have been packed since boarding so why was there no one when I got here?

"Lucas? What time did you find me and how long have you been in these halls?" Elizabeth asked.

"Uh, well I would say we've been on the floor for about 10 minutes, which we should probably move from, and I have been here since 11:00." he answered.

"Oh yea," Elizabeth didn't notice they were still on the floor, so they moved to a bench against the wall, "Wait, but you said you didn't see me fall?"

"I didn't. I didn't even see you walk in and I have been watching the door for my dad." he said.

"That's strange though because I walked in here about 11:15 and when I walked in no one was here, nobody, nobody was standing, you weren't here, there wasn't even someone at the front desk" She explained "And then I got scared so I started running out and then everything went black, I don't even remember falling, all I remember is waking up here with you."

"Okay uh, that's really odd since these halls been packed. Why don't I walk you back to your sister and friend." Lucas offered.

"Yes thank you we were at the pool last time I checked, but wait haven't you been waiting here? Elizabeth asked.

"Yea, but it doesn't look like the line will be going down soon, and I have been waiting for my dad which he still hasn't shown so I should probably look for him." Lucas replied

"Oh okay, then let's go to where I think is the pool." Elizabeth suggested.
