Jackson and Ava were in the hospital hallways deciding just how to complete the big task of stripping everyone's powers. They would need the stone to physically touch James just long enough until he has no more powers. If he has no powers nor does his people. Before that, the Water and Air colonies' primary leader must agree to strip their powers.
"The Water Colony is not what I'm worried about, it's the Air's leader, Hector, that's the problem," explained Ava.
A voice that startled Ava and Jackson joined their conversation, "I'm in," the voice announced, it was Hector. "My daughter is in this hospital and I can't even see her because of these damn rules, I'm ready to end this, but we don't even know where the stone is," Hector said.
"Actually, I do, well I mean, I don't but he does," Jackson pointed towards the entryway and in came Lucas.
"We are all ready to end this," Lucas said. "And I know how." They sat in dramatic silence.
"Well, are you going to tell us or are you just going to stay quiet?" Jackson asked.
"Oh right, okay so the stone is in James' mansion," Lucas responded.
"Oh great that'll be easy, we'll all just mosey on in, make a sandwich, grab the stone that he has out in the open with a sign that says 'Take me', go for a swim in his hot tub, then we'll leave," Jackson sarcastically said.
"Let me finish," he glared. "It's in his office, and before you say anything," Jackson stopped the words from coming out of his mouth, "I have a plan. We will have to get the stone when James is gone, what I'm saying is we'll need a distraction. Our best chance for James to be out of his house is when he is in battle, Ava you're going to need to call for battle." Ava sighed acknowledging her duties. "Now when James is in battle he is still going to have guards guarding the front door, once we get past them we will get the stone and then head for the battlefield. There Hector will hold down James and one of us will hold the stone against his skin, Hector you're okay with playing double agent right?"
"Anything it takes," Hector nodded.
"Anything it takes," Ava repeated.
"Better send that letter to James if we are going to do this," Lucas told Ava.
"I'll do it now, but when? Next week, in a month, we have so many injured," before Ava could continue she felt a note appear in her pocket. She read aloud, " 'Want some more, how about tomorrow at dusk, be prepared. Kisses James.' I swear he is gay, Well you and Jackson better get going to get there if you guys are going to make it."
"I'm coming with," Elizabeth interrupted, she was attempting to walk.
"Elizabeth what are you doing get back to bed this instance!" Ava yelled.
"I'm fine, it's minor, and I won't be holding anyone back, in fact, I could be a distraction for the guards," Elizabeth explained.
"Then let's go little sis!" Jackson exclaimed. Jackson took Elizabeth by the arm and helped her walk towards the exit doors. The rest of them stood in the hallway confused. "Well c'mon Lucas grab her some crutches and help her out." Lucas did as told and they walked out the door. Ava began to prepare for tomorrow, and explain what the plan is to her warriors, while Hector got on a boat to the Island of Air to inform his troops not to fight the so-called enemy tomorrow. Soon, everyone, but people of fire would know the plan, all that would be left is taking the powers away once and for all.
Jackson, Lucas, and Elizabeth all arrived at the Island of Fire around the same time James arrived at the Island of Water, he had to leave early if he was going to make it to battle. Elizabeth figured if they get the stone as soon as possible and then head towards the Island of Water, they should be able to get to James in the middle of battle.
