My alarm blares loudly and I wake with a start. A fumble around my bedside table, hastily searching for my phone to turn my alarm off. I succeed, only to here groans from the other side of the room. I glance up to see my roommate spooning a girl, both of their faces grimacing and their bodies very much naked underneath the quilt. I cough awkwardly, muttering an apology before slipping out of bed and lightly padding across the floor to my wardrobe. Pulling out a pair of black skinny jeans, a white graphic tee and a hoodie, I pile them into my wash basket after picking up my clean towel. I slip out of my room, lightly shutting the door behind me and begin to walk to the communal showers.
I open the white door before dropping my pair of crocs onto the floor and slipping them on. I find an empty cubicle and outright ignore other male students that mooch around here, some stark naked, others dressed. I gulp and quickly shut my cubicle curtain, undressing myself and putting my dirty clothes into a shopping bag. I switch on the shower, the head spits out hard, hot water that cascades down my chest and I sigh with content.Last night had been full on to say the least, the late night excursion has caused my muscles to ache especially since I have never been athletically able. I wash my hair and body before switching off the shower, towel myself dry and get changed into my clean clothes before walking out with my items in tow.
I walk to the line of sinks on the far wall with a long mirror above. I begin brushing my teeth, looking at my reflection. I have mousy brown curly hair, a freckled noise with high cheekbones. I've never had muscles, nor have I particularly ever had much fat, but you could tell with my narrow face shape that the rest of me is just a pile of skinny bones. Sighing to myself, I look behind me and my eyes widen with shock.
Fabian Count is a football player who is very tall, very muscular, very attractive and apparently very hung. My eyes lock on his shaft and I gulp, my throat suddenly dry. I feel myself harden and I look away flushed, my thoughts are jumbled but my body reacts in such a strange way.
I've seen naked guys before, so many naked guys. You don't come to college and expect not to see the male anatomy, however this is just completely unexpected. I quickly finish brushing my teeth, my face a bright red as my mind races before getting the hell out of there. I cover myself with my bags and rush to my dorm, opening and slamming the door shut before zooming around the room, doing my normal morning routine. I try to ignore my questioning mind by keeping myself busy, yet sometimes even I can't make myself shut up. All I know is:
I am not gay.
"Babe, make him shut the fuck up," groans Nate's hookup, rolling over and covering her head with a pillow.
I glance at Nate to see his eyes peel open, his shaggy blonde hair a mess atop his head as his grey eyes look me head to toe, stopping there. "Saw a fit lass, Zac?"
I bite my lip, "Don't be like that."
"What?" He asks. "I'm sure Natalie can hook you up with one of her friends."
"It's Nina," she mutters, her voice muffled.
"Really?" Nate questions confused.
She ignores him and slips out of bed, nude but proud. She gets dressed in her clothes and picks up her bag, leaving the room silently. Nate chuckles hoarsely, "Women."
I wish I could agree, however my raging self won't calm down, the sight of Fabian junior won't leave my mind and a strange pulsing causes my mind to halt.
"So... What bird got you so flustered?" He asks, grinning as he pulls up a pair of boxers underneath the quilt. Nate than waltzes around the room getting ready for the day.
"Don't know her name," I lie thickly.
He glances down again and smirks, "You need to get laid."
"No I do not," I bite.
"Yes you do," he counters. "Sadly your hand and porn won't be enough."
I groan and shake my head, "Don't say stuff like that. It's private."
"Drink some water, get distracted, it should go away soon," Nate laughs, walking out of our dorm.
I rake my fingers through my hair, scrubbing my reddened face as it goes down. I pick up my rucksack and head out of the my dorm, locking it shut and heading to the elevator. I walk in and press Ground Floor and wait patiently for the doors to open again. Walking out, I exit the building and walk towards the Homeless Shelter where I volunteer every weekend.
With a quick pace and a even busier mind, I enter the shelter with a forced smile on my face as I walk up to Narla.
"Hey," I puff."Hey you, come help me serve brunch," she rushes out, gripping my arm and dragging me behind the serving counter. After an hour of robotic serving and forced conversations, I'm finally allowed to walk around and talk to my friend Al.
Big Al is a homeless older guy with a rugged grey beard, wiry brows and his almost signature green beanie. He has crooked yellow teeth and a dozen layers on, despite the late summer warmth.
"Hey kiddo, you good?" His gruff voice asks, heaving a cough through his tired torso.
I smile, "Yeah, I'm good. You? You look well."
He laughs a croaky laugh, "Never been better. Can't you tell? I'm living the life of luxury, those celebs don't know what they're missing out."
I laugh.
His brows furrow, "You okay? You got a tick in your jaw."
I bite my lip and force my tick to calm down, "Perfectly fine, why?"
"Kiddo, I've been alive a long time, I know when someone's not good."
I sigh, "I don't know Al, I've just been questioning."
"Questioning?"
"My... self."
"Huh, you gay or something?"
"What!?" I exclaim. "N-no, god no! Questioning myself as in direction of life. As well as my mom how she may be pregnant and whatnot- but no. Gay? Pah, stupid."
He raises his brows. "Okay."
