chapter 4 (Lucifer Morningstar)

The door opened in a wide Arc and I was glad to see the suspect now I could figure out of the stab wounds were what I suspected.

When the badly dressed child entered he looked very confused. I guess having two strangers in your house would be strange unless you were looking for a good time.
The detective proceeded to take the lead and stepped forward.
"are you Percy Jackson?"

"of course he is detective!" I smirked "he obviously has a killers face"
I stepped closer to him and as I did his hand went to his pocket.
"you enjoyed killing her didn't you ay? Wanted to see the life drained out of her! IS THAT WHY YOU STOLE FROM THE GODS"
My anger took over and I grabbed the boy be the collar and shoved him against the wall ignoring Chloe and the mothers shouts.

"tell me boy" I growled " why did you kill her!"

"Lucifer!" Chloe yelled "put. Him. Down"

I waited for a moment just staring into his eyes. He seemed more surprised then scared. Finally I let him down and dusted off my suit.

"what the hades!" he yelled "I have no idea what you are talking about!"

"we found secerity footage of you running from a crime scene in Los Angeles." the detective folded her arms.

In that moment I saw pure fear in the boys eyes and something else... Guilt?

"i-i um don't know you are talking about"

"you're gonna have to come with us" the detective said grabbing her handcuffs.

"what you can't arrest him!" his mother cried.

"we have to take him downtown for some questioning" Chloe said turning percy around.

He looked over his shoulder and managed a small smile.

"I'll be alright mum."

We exited the apartment leaving a very worried mother behind.

We sat in the detectives car as we drove back to Los Angeles.

"what was all that about back there" Chloe asked.

"what do you mean?" I laughed.

"Lucifer I'm not an idiot you have been on edge ever since you saw that body. It scared you didn't it?"

"what? Don't be ridiculous detective!" I chukled. Me scared? Ha!

"look I don't know why but you just seemed freaked and if you need to talk about it I'm--"

"detective I assure you I am most certainly fine"

"is that why you acted more crazy then you usely are at sally Jacksons home?"

I didn't say anything.

"you started saying something about 'gods'pulral. I am used to all your metaphors about your father being god but this" she laughed "this is a new one"

I didn't really know how to respond. My brain felt like maze had stuck her demon knifes into it and stared stiring it into stew.
I glanced over at the detective and Anlyised her pretty face. My heart fluttered but as much as I wanted to ignore it I couldn't.

"I-i can't explain right bow detective...i just have a feeling, a bad one and--"

"it's okay lucifer" Chloe cut me off "you'll tell me when the time is right. I trust you"

I stared at her for a moment then smiled.

"so anyway" she sighed "we still need to find who was with him"

I looked over my shoulder to see the boy staring out the window.
"the girl" I said.
