may 18th 2018

she remembers this date because it was the best day of her life.
and on the best day of her life, she met him.

him, with the dark, obsidian eyes that seem to have galaxies roaming in them. him, with the droopy eyelids that make him even more ethereal than before. him with that delightful gummy smile that make her world light up with an infinite amount of the brightest stars. and him with that odd but adorable habit of his, long bony fingers coming up to brush the back of his ear when nervous or shy.

she falls for him the way rain falls from the sky; hard, fast, uncontrollable.

the first time she saw him, her heart did a funny thing where it started beating like there was no tomorrow, the sound so strong, she could feel it in her ears.

the first time he saw her, his heart did a funny thing where it would slow down, making everything about her so precious and so lovely. the way her eyes lit up when she talked about something she was fond of. the way she laughed. her laugh was so beautiful. it made him so grateful to be able to hear such a wonderful laugh. and the way her mouth would slightly gape open as she focused on her work, eyebrows furrowing and eyes narrowing.

he falls for her  the way rain falls from the sky; hard, fast, uncontrollable.
