her eyes fleeted above her book when she saw him practically waddle to the table across her.  he was shivering, skin freezing cold and bright blue hair soaked, the now not so vibrant locks sulking and drooping low, leaving no volume at all. he was drenched from the cold weather and the pelting rain outside, face wet with water, a pout forming on his lips. she couldn't help but think... how cute. His eyebrows furrowed as he struggled to take his jacket off, before setting it on his chair. His pout refused to leave his lips even as he lifted up his coffee, took a sip of the warm beverage and put it back down. Everything he did, seemed so... ethereal. tapping his slender fingers against his cup, wrapping one arm around himself, as if that would chase out the cold and not the heater only 3 feet away from him. they were only tiny things, things that seem so simple but she really couldn't help but stare. he was so pretty, so handsome that it made her heart beat as fast as a humming bird's, refusing to slow down.

she looked down before he could catch her staring, resuming her adventure to Persia to see the alluring princess of dawn in that little story book of hers. he was beautiful, but she was not. so why expect him to notice? there was nothing special about her, in or out so why would she even think about him? it was hopeless.

She didn't stare at him any longer, eyes forcing themselves to analyse every single letter in every single word in every single paragraph, adamant on not setting on the boy's ethereal face again. but as time went on, more words read, more coffee sipped, she was convinced that he was staring at her.

her temptation got the better of her, head drawing up until her view was only of him. oh no

their eyes connect, pools of obsidian pouring in from every direction. up, down, left, right, everywhere. galaxies roaming around, planets revolving around their delicate minds, stars shining like scattered moon dust in the night sky, it was so beautiful. they grasped each other's eyes, looking into windows her to the soul, to see such beauty, such perfection.

such awe.
