Ice

Chapter 1

I looked up.

So this is the college I am deemed to go in.

I shrugged my shoulders.

What could I do? It wasn't me who wanted to come here, so far from home.

I took everything in; the tall trees, and newly made pavements, other students around

me, getting their dorm cards and a map around the school. Some were already friends it

seems and some where just giving no sh*t to be here.
I wonder which one of them were going to be my friend for the next two years.

My eyes stopped onto a boy, he was lean and tall in a good way, his eyes seemed to be a
green hazel colour, and his lips were plum and nice.
His hair was long on the top and wavy.
He was wearing a black hoodie with skinny black jeans and timberland boots.
He felt someone was watching him and looked around and saw me staring, he quickly put his hoodie hat on and glanced away.

So did I.

Woah, the guy looked sketchy.
I stole another look towards him.
And curiosity got the best of me.

He was walking into the building.

I quickly grabbed my luggage, which was only a small blue suitcase and my handbag, and hurriedly got my dorm card and a map, and I started to go in with him.

For some reason I was drawn to him.

I'm not very interested in boys. I never really was in high school either. The boys were just pimpled and weird or some were just unavailable for me.

I followed the dude but I walked a little farther away to make me less suspicious.
I saw other girls noticing him too but they didn't really care about him much when there were other better boys out there.

5 minutes later, on the east side of the school (says the map),the hallways weren't so packed as it was in the foyer, it seemed it was the boys dorms I think, I don't know.

All of a sudden the mysterious boy stopped in front of me and turned around.

I quickly opened up the map of the school and pretended that i was lost so that he could help me find my way.

It seemed to work, cause he approached me.

The air around me seemed to become very cold and dark.

I think the sun went behind the clouds.

"Oh hi." I put the map down and looked at him. His hoodie was still up and his head was facing down, so I couldn't really see his expression.
"I'm kinda lost, can u help me find my way please?" I asked.

"Were u following me?" He whispered. It was good there weren't people around with noise so I heard him clearly.

"Following u? I'm sorry but I'm just lost and it seems my map has brought me to the wrong....side....of the.....s-s-chool." The air has gotten colder and I was visibly shivering.

I was wishing that he would give me his hoodie like those romantic stories.

But no. He ignored that I was shivering and he seemed to be fed up.

He turned around and walked away.

"Hey at least can I know ur name?" I shouted after him.

He aired me again.
Oh my i felt so pissed and embarrassed.

I turned around myself and I started to walk the way to the my dorm room.

"Hardin."

I spun around,"Pardon?"

"Names Hardin."

"Oh my names Maddie. Hope we can see each other again." I smiled and walked away.

The air got warmer and the sun was out again.

Ahh mission accomplished, at least I now know his name. ;D
