To say Seokjin was nervous would be an understatement. He was terrified. When Chae Young had messaged him, she had been really cryptic and he was scared as to what her answer would be.He walked into the almost empty cafe and looked around, finally finding the familiar girl sitting at one of the tables in the back, looking at something on her phone.
He slid into the seat opposite hers and gave her a nervous smile, which got only a curt nod from the girl in front of him.
He took deep breath and hoped everything would be okay, and then he started talking.
"I'm sorry for confessing through the phone. I was scared and thought it was the right decision. But I really do like you. You make me so happy. Your laugh cheers me up and even when you're roasting me, I feel warm inside. You treat me like a normal human being instead of an idol and you're always there for me. I like you, no, I love you so much and it's okay if you don't feel the sa–"
His rambling was interrupted by a smack on his head. He looked up at Chae Young with wide eyes.
"Who said you can decide for me? Let me choose whether I like you back or not, you dork. How do you expect me to not fall for you when you make such a cute speech?" she said, her face breaking out into a soft smile, making Seokjin's brain go haywire.
"You... like me back?" he muttered in shock, making the girl snort.
"Unfortunately, I am completely and utterly in love with you" she said with mock sadness, making the boy roll his eyes.
"So will you be my boyfriend?" she asked him with a grin on her face, which was reciprocated by Seokjin.
"Absolutely"
"Do you wanna go get ice cream, Mr. boyfriend?" Chae Young grinned, wiggling her eyebrows.
"I'd love to, Ms. girlfriend" he replied with the same cheekiness, and the two stood up, walking out hand in hand.
