Lyra wouldn't leave. He sat with me for several hours, I just wanted to be alone. He made me fruit tea, cranberry and raspberry, my favourite. But it wasn't the same. I just sat there silent. I wanted to curl up in my bed, surrounded by my cuddly toys, watching pokemon and sleeping.
I sat on the sofa, blankly looking at the warm mug in my hand. I heard Lyra sigh deeply, but I payed no mind to it. I couldn't, I just wanted him to go.
I finished the last sips of my drink, then got up and headed up the stairs. It was only 3pm, but I just wanted to sleep this day away. I went into my room, put on some pjs and removed my makeup. I looked in the mirror and sighed. Being a child was so much simpler, I wish I could go back. Just colour all day, watch cartoons, cuddle cuddly toys and not have to worry. However, sadly, life doesn't have a reverse button. Not that I'd like to go back to my childhood anyway. Maybe, a better one though, one with less heartache.
I sighed once again, before climbing into the bed and turning on the TV. I clicked onto Netflix, they have most of the pokemon series and movies on there, and picked indigo league. The original is my favourite. Vulpix or Sylveon have to be my favourites, stereotypical I know but I still love them.
It got a few minutes into one of the episodes when I heard a cough from the doorway. Great, he followed me.
"You really gonna hide up here?" He said, sounding tired and annoyed.
"I thought me walking away would be a hint for you to leave." I replied, kind of sarcastic. I didnt turn my head from the TV.
"I'm not gonna leave you, not like this." He sighed, he walked over to the edge of my bed. "Mind if I join? Original pokemon is the best"
I just silently nodded in response, I knew he would join either way. But, part of me still wanted him next to me.
He climbed in next to me, careful not to lay on my cuddly toys. Which I appreciated.
"You know, you look kinda sweet all snuggled up, like a little girl. Makes me just wanna take care of you and spoil you. Be your daddy." I froze, and slowly looked at him.
"Be my what?" I replied, confused and quite stunned.
"Be your daddy..." he trailed off, I raised my eyebrow in a quizzical way. "You know like... you be my little and I be your daddy. Like ddlg?"
"I've heard these terms alot. But I dont know what they mean. Everyone says I'm like a little, but I dont know what they're on about. What's ddlg?" He looked at me surprised, before grabbing his phone and looking something up.
"Read this, it will explain it better than I can."
He handed me his phone. An article called 'DDLG, what is it?' was on screen, I read through the article, Lyra watching me intently. Once I finished, I handed back his phone and laid there thinking.
It sounded like me, the whole little girl thing. I liked my dolls, my colouring, my cuddlys, my kids snacks and generally being a child. It was cute, pastel and happy. Something I wished I'd had.
"So?" Lyra questioned, after a few minutes of silence.
"So... that sounds like me. The whole little girl thing, it's odd but some reason intrigues me. The idea of regressing to a child, and being happy and carefree sounds amazing. But, I don't know." I trailed off, still trying to figure things out.
"Well, I thought you should know what you're being compared to." I just silently nodded going back to my pokemon. I half rested on Lyra's shoulder.
Several hours past and we were still watching pokemon. Lyra had his arm around me. My stomach gurgled like a dramatic dying whale.
Lyra looked at me. "Hungry, princess?" I nodded.
"How about I make you my homemade mac and cheese?"
"Ooooh! Yes please!! I love mac and cheese!" I replied, probably a bit too excitedly. Lyra chuckled at this, however.
"Aww, you precious little thing. I'll go make it." He shifted out of the bed, making me kind of sad that I was now alone.
I heard him head downstairs to the kitchen, to start making dinner. I paused pokemon, and grabbed a blanket. Slowly, heading down the stairs behind him. I silently sat on one of the kitchen chairs, he hadn't noticed me there yet. I sat silently for about 5 minutes, until he turned around and saw me.
"AH!!" Lyra screamed jumping back a bit. I laughed hysterically, almost falling off the chair. "You cant scare me like that, Avalia. You're gonna be the death of me. How long have you been sat there?" He shook his head and laughed.
"About 5 minutes or so" I said, still giggly.
"Jesus, you're silent when you wanna be ain't ya." He winked slightly as he said this. I blushed, remembering what he was referring to.
He turned to keep making dinner, luckily I had all the ingredients he needed. Once it was cooked it smelled amazing. He sat a plate in front of me, mac and cheese, garlic bread and drink of chocolate milk.
I smell made my mouth water. Lyra sat beside me, he nodded at me that I could start to eat. I wasted no time diving into my dinner. It was the best mac and cheese I've ever tasted, it was heaven for your mouth. Everything about it was perfect.
"This is amazing!" I said, mouth stuffed with mac and cheese.
"Dont talk with your mouth full, princess." He looked at me like a parent would their child when they had done the same thing. "But, thank you. It's one of my favourite meals."
I made sure to finish my mouth full before answering. "I can see why." I smiled.
Once we had finished our dinner and I'd drunk my chocolate milk, Lyra cleaned away the plates and cups. I yawned, tired from this very eventful day. Lyra picked me up, my legs wrapped around my waist and arms round his neck. He took me to my bed, where he then joined me. I laid on his chest, his tattooed arms around me. I felt safe, protected and happy.
Maybe I could be a little girl and maybe, just maybe, I wanted Lyra to be my daddy. Maybe.
