(Cassandra/Yuki)

It was difficult to specify how long Cassandra had been alone. After her death, socialising had become remarkably difficult: almost near to impossible, with the slight exception of a small amount of other ghosts that happened to pass through MyTown on rare occasions. It was hard to keep track of the sims that moved in and out of the area, and after a few years of watching new citizens arrive at the hotel, the ghost girl simply stopped trying to find out about them, hoping that eventually one of them could posses the ability- or at least, desire- to communicate with her. She was certain that if she had the option, she would have left the small town years ago. It would be a nice change in setting, and her chances of escaping her isolation would be significantly higher than they were currently. Still, it just seemed to her as if it were an impossible act to commit: she'd tried leaving before. She'd casually made her way to one of the many exits of the town, thinking she had nothing to lose, that she wouldn't miss anyone, but as she approached the outskirts, it was if she was being pulled back into the centre of the town by an arrangement of heavy transparent chains, with the feeling of them digging into her skin almost reminding her of the excruciating pain a sentient form could have experienced. It was if she were alive again, only to be tortured. The reason behind this was unknown to her: some type of unfinished business perhaps? Maybe there was something waiting for her in the town's future. After all... there was one thing she never managed to accomplish. Unfortunately, theories of hope had deteriorated over the years, so Cassandra simply managed to accept her state of isolation.

Deep shades of navy blue stained the sky of the icy night, and despite the fierce winds, Cassandra couldn't help but feel calm (of course, not being able to feel the cold or the pressure helped). There was an abundance of stars spread above her, glittering in unison. Being stuck in MyTown wasn't all bad, sometimes, she thought to herself, and found her mouth slightly curving up into a small, gentle smile. She curled up, bringing her knees up to her chin and sitting on the lush grass of the forest. The town was actually a very nice location- there were worse places to be stuck. For once in a while, Cassandra's loneliness seemed insignificant, until she noticed a small cluster of bright stars positioned near to the moon. A pattern that was too familiar to her, one that never failed to give her a feeling of dejection. Her eyes glanced towards the small marking on her wrist: one that was identical to the constellation in question. One where, if you were to join the dots, it would clearly form a small, single-cut diamond. This was supposed to be the mark she shared with her soulmate, but resentfully, she never managed to find them in her lifetime, and now it was too late for anything to change. She traced the mark with her finger, and solemnly made her way back to the town centre. Although she was unable to feel the chilling temperature, it was still nice to stay in MyTown Hotel, and admittedly, there was some enjoyment to be had out of trying to haunt the bellhop.

The ghost woke up the next morning to the sun shining through a small window in the hotel's back room, accompanied by the low murmurs of the sims visiting the town, seeking a new place to reside. Although normally she wouldn't be entirely interested in these new sims, there was one voice that stood out to her, mostly because it was very loud, but it was still enthralling. Curiosity overcame her, and she quickly entered the lobby. It was busier than usual, and the young bellhop was desperately trying to prevent conflicts and mishaps from happening, but ironically seemed to be the individual causing the most. Cassandra giggled to herself at the sight of the boy struggling to maintain his composure, when a small girl with wild black hair and large pink eyes creeped up and began to tease him. A sudden wave of warmth ran though her spirit- a warmth that she hadn't felt in longer than she could remember, and it came as a shock. It was new and unexpected, and the girl began to panic, not entirely certain of what was happening to her. Was she about to pass on? No, it couldn't be that, that would require something much more remarkable. Timidly, the ghost walked up to her, a hopeful feeling in her chest, and observed the other girl more carefully. She was dressed in a dark pink kimono, with matching sandals and she had what appeared to be a set of fangs- could she be a vampire? If she was, did that mean she had some kind of supernatural powers? Did that mean she could talk to ghosts?
"Um... excuse me?"
There was no reply.
"Hello? Can you... can you hear me?"
The girl walked off, obviously not having noticed the ghost, whose dejection and disappointment were clearly visible on her face. With a sigh, she turned to leave the building, when another sim walked in: an individual of the title "the Essence Master". This person was in control of who moved into MyTown, who got to stay, the overall theme of the town and general happiness of the citizens. It was in that moment Cassandra realised the reason they had entered the hotel and, with excitement and intrigue, began to follow the Essence Master around as they spoke to every sim in the lobby, finishing with the girl in the kimono, who declared that her name was Yuki. Her way of talking was interesting (referring to herself in third person, and playfully threatening sims to "bite their face").
"You're funny." Cassandra said, knowing that no one could hear her. "Her kimono is adorable, she's so cute, quick, choose her! Ask her to live here!"
The ghost was half joking as she muttered into the Essence Master's ear, but her tone became slightly more desperate when they went to shake her hand. As she lifted her arm, the long sleeve of her kimono shifted, revealing a mark on her wrist that resembled a constellation in the shape of a single-cut diamond.
