Sun setting and lamps bathing the streets in a honey yellow glow,the night engulfed the village of konoha. Bars opened their doors to villagers and daytime shops closed for the evening.
Only time ticked by as drunken slurs and loud laughter filled the empty streets. as people stumbled their way home,to another bar or, anywhere that would take them.
As clocks turned to twelve naruto turned off the lights in his apartment,locked the door and left the building. From the outside it looked like a lovely place for a small family,but the inside showed it was far from livable. Water stains soaked the roof and floors,walls filled with holes and doors with broken locks littered the halls.
Screams from angry couples and crying children where the nights gift and it left little silence for a good nights rest. But to the uzumaki this was home.
Leaving the building behind as he walked,the blond made his way to the hokages mansion. It was just getting to mid fall and as the leaves finished changing from crisp green to golds,reds and browns; the wind began to chill the tanned teens skin. Nipping at his nose and turning it a rosy pink.
It hadn't taken very long to get to the top of the building and from here ocean blue eyes could see the world that surrounded him. Lights flickered from the city below and stars twinkled from the sky above. It was always a scene that relaxed the jinchuuriki since he was a kid.
"Where are you sasuke...?"
The blond whispered and wondered aloud. Worried about his friend and rival. But as worried as he was,he would return home and dream of the days he missed.
