Just outside the village gates a figure stumbled. Features unseen by the red that covered him. Coughing as he made each and every painful step he staggered into the village only to collapse without reaching his destination.

"Well well well. Looks like someone had a rough time."

A slight chuckle sounded as an older man approached, grey hair slung to the side in a jagged mess as always. Looking around with an eye uncovered by his forehead protector, the skilled copy ninja picked up the bloody mess of a man and made his way to the hospital.

"You know,I'm a little surprised to see you."

Kakashi spoke to the teen in his arms. Only to get a glare of tired grey eyes in reply. Choosing not to put anymore stress on the rogue he kept silent for the remainder of the short journey. Keeping a mental note to let his other students know if their teammate.

Arriving at the hospital he pushed through gasping nurses and doctors making his way through the many halls and corridors before setting the injured Uchiha down on a bed and making way for the hokage who could only stare.

Batting her eyes, tsunade looked to kakashi and back to the red soaked Uchiha. "There's no way... Is it. Is it him?"

With a small reassuring nod from the hatake, tsunade gasped before calling to a nurse and barking her orders.

"We'll need to clean him up either way before we can ask questions. I need to see how injured he is...honestly sasuke, you couldn't come back in better shape? "

The Uchiha only gave a smirk before it was ripped away from him with a cough that left the avenger gasping and dazed.

Only after the pain had subsided did he feel the cold plastic that lined his nose and mouth. With it a cold blast of oxygen filled the mask, helping him breath easier. Slowly closing his eyes he saw nothing. It didn't bother the Uchiha however. He hadn't seen anything since he was injured and it was a miracle he even managed to get to the village. But for now he would let His thoughts wander and let sleep overtake him. He was safe now but not where he had hoped.
