Voices in the dark...

"Ugh..."

Soft groans filled the room as the Uchiha awakened. His vision still blurred like an unfocused photo taken in a dark room. Although he couldn't see for the time being until tired eyes healed,he could hear exceptionally well.

Like a raging sea of voices the rogue heard chatter from doctors and cries of patients as they all went by his door. He,himself didn't expect any visitors except for the once in a while check up so it startled the resting man when his door slammed open and heavy steps came in.

"I thought you were done checking in on me...Tsunade."

The Uchiha scowled as the older woman approached. An unpleased 'hmph' sounding from her in response to the others attitude. pulling a chair she slumped in it and grumbled. Rubbing her head as she readied herself for the oncoming headache to ensue.

"I know you may not like this sasuke... but I've sent Kakashi to inform your other team members of your return."

Silence filled the room as the Uchiha turned his head swiftly away from the woman with a displeased grunt. she had been right when she said he wouldn't like this.

"Listen, you can grumble and scowl all you want but as long as your here, you are under our rules. you can choose to be guarded by the Anbu and Sakura or the Anbu and Naruto... it's up to you."

She spoke with a stern tone and a hard expression on her face. Getting up from her chair the hokage left it as is and exited the room. Leaving the Uchiha to make his decision. she was in no rush anyhow,using her long walk back to the office to mull over either possible outcome of his decision and the future it may hold...

When the cost was clear and he could no longer feel a presence in his lonely hospital room, he let out a series of curses and began to bite his lower lip. even though he was temporarily blind the Uchiha made no hesitation to rapidly look from left to right as he retained himself deep in thought.

He didn't enjoy the thought of spending his time and life with one of his teammates. Tsunade had might aswell told him he was choosing who he wanted marry! though the thought only sent shivers up his spine until ideas started to form.

It wasn't like he wanted to be in the leaf village anyway. he had just ended up here. although,if he where able to woo one of his old teammates and get them to fall for him he may be able to escape this land and be free again.

But which one would be choose?

'If I chose Sakura, I would have her in an instant... it she's too loyal to tsunade... as well she would be love sick over me. I'd never get away.. or want to be with her.'

The Uchiha grumbled as he thought. he didn't like the idea of being tied down to a woman blinded by love. especially when her love only started from his looks. he needed someone he could get control over but not so easily. someone he had to work and seduce until they truly trusted and loved him. he hated to admit it, but the blond idiot he once hated was sounding like a pretty good option...
