"Sage, I just landed, where are you?"

"Waiting by the baggage claim, I've got an Uber outside for us." My boyfriend's little sister's voice speaks through the speaker on my phone. "Hurry up, Jakes."

"I'm coming I'm coming."

I hightail my way over to the baggage claim where Sage is waiting, her blonde hair tucked up in a messy ponytail. She looks as put together and adorable as always. I jog up to her and crush her in a hug. "Sageeeey."

"Darling Jakes, are you glad to be here?"

"Yes! Hyped, excited, I've never done something like this before, you think Troye suspects anything?"

"Not a thing, Jake. He's been moping around pining for you this week, more than usual."

"But he's okay, right? Eating enough? Sleeping enough? You've been making sure he's drinking water and everything, right?"

"Yes, Jacob. We've been gone two week not two years."

"Yeah I know but tour takes it's toll on him and him being out of the country and everything I just - oh he's just texted me."

"Don't answer!" Sage says immediately, before I can even take my phone out. "It's the middle of the night in LA, you wouldn't be awake."

"Shit, you're right. I'll have to get used to London time fast, I almost just screwed our whole plan."

"Just set your phone back to LA time and before you text him, check to see what time it is." Sage advises wisely. We get my bags and drive to the hotel, which I have a couple concerns about.

"You're sure he's not here right now?"

"He's at the venue rehearsing, he just posted to his story, I swear."

"I'm still worried that me staying in the same hotel as him will be too close. What if he sees me?"

"He's hardly ever here, and you only have to stay under wraps till tomorrow's show. That's like 30 hours, you got this."

"My third concern....what if I can't handle being this close to him and not being able to go see him? It's been two weeks, Sagey that's so long for us. I'm used to seeing him every single day!"

Sage looks sympathetic. "I know, Jakes. But just remember that what you have planned for him is gonna pay off. It'll be worth it, promise."

"Yeah you're right." I perk up. "You wanna see the ring?"

"Um yes, lemme see it."

I unzip a special pocket in my suitcase and pull out a tiny box, popping it open to reveal the ring nestled inside. Sage sighs at sight of the delicate silver and diamond piece. "It's beautiful, Jacob. He'll love it."

Troye is approximately exactly precisely right above me and one room to the left.

Yes I went to the trouble of finding his room even though I will be making zero use of the information.

It's 7:00 London time. I'm exhausted, laying on my bed and trying my damn hardest not to get up and march one floor up to go find my boyfriend and hug him. I didn't think it would be this hard, but two weeks and close proximity has sent my Troye withdrawal spiraling. It would be 2am in LA which is the clock my body is set to but I know I can't sleep, I have to stay awake until it's bedtime here in London. I shouldn't text Troye. Definitely that'll just make me want him more.
