Dreams

Even when I try to move on

My mind holds on to things

Like a worn picture frame

In the ruins of a house

Missing the picture

Yet still has the meaning

Of capturing something forever

You can tell I haven't let you go

When you haunt my dreams

Almost like a bad dream

But how is it a bad dream

If I get to see you look at me

Like you actually love me

For the last time

Because I can't forget how you use to

How is it a bad dream

When I get to see you simile at me

For the first time in what seems like an eternity

Because I can't forget the way you would

How can it possibly be a bad dream

When for a short while

I get to feel like everything isn't falling apart

Because I can't forget how you kept me together

But I always wake up

Reality hits

And the dream becomes a bittersweet mockery

Something I love it the moment

But resent afterwards

How can I go on

When the only time you love me again

Is In my dreams
