Prince is in great strife.
With finding his wife to be unfaithful, his current album flopping, his friends leaving his corner, and struggling to cut ties with his label all while trying to keep his private life from the press he's found himself wanting to escape from his fame or, in his case, slight obscurity.
After hiring an impersonator (or faking his own death) to take his place in his world, Prince books a flight to another in Jamaica, where he resides alone in a little shack. In his new world where he is at peace near the shore, he is not known or recognized as the musician he was back then, for the people know him as the lonely man who plays guitar.
Heading into town one day, Prince runs into an old flame, Nona, who lives near an understaffed banana farm with her 4 year old daughter Amancia. Now realizing that she was the one that got away from him, Prince pulls every stop to get her back and win the approval of her daughter.
But what happens to his relationship with her when his worlds collide.
