"Hi, so your here for a tour of the house?" The middle aged, smiling, woman asks
"Yeah" I nod, I had checked my bank account before coming here to see I now have one million two hundred and seventy three thousand dollars
"Well this house is worth one million eight hundred and eighty eight dollars before we begin this tour" she nods "Are you buying this house for just you?"
"Yeah" I nod "And I know this is a five bedroom house, but I want to turn this house into a work place! I'm going to make the basement a recording studio, I want to have an office, a guest room, and whatever else I end up deciding on"
"Maybe we could look for a smaller-"
"I've looked all over the website" I assure her "I like this one... I like that the outside is subtle but the inside is magnificent. I like that the neighbors are spaced apart and it's kind of secluded but also still in the city. There's no pool, but the backyard is huge! So there'd be plenty of room to put one in"
"Alright" she sighs, then shows me around the house, which is completely opened with an empty canvas
"When can I move in?" Her eyes widen "I knew before I came here that I wanted it-"
"Well at the soonest you could get the keys in three days-"
"Can we cut that to two? I leave for tour in four days, and I need to move in now"
"I can call the owners" she mumbles, taking out her phone "Hi! Someone wants to buy... yeah... um, I'll ask-"
She looks at me and asks, "What's your offer?"
"I'll pay nine hundred thousand up front, in cash, then I'll finish paying the remainder monthly"
"She wants to put down a nine hundred thousand dollar down payment!" She smiles to the phone "Yeah? Alright! She wants to move in, in two days, can you- Okay! Sounds great! Thank you"
I look at her with a smile, "You got the house! Let's head to my office to file the paperwork!"
So within three hours the house is officially signed over to me! I make a transaction and give them nine hundred AND FIFTY thousand dollars, then we com up with our monthly mortgage plan. Which is eight thousand seventeen hundred fifty dollars per month for eight years, which mean I paid a hundred thousand less for the house! I got it approved my the bank, then after went over to Andy's house.
"Hey" I smile at him as he opens the door
He frowns, "I thought you had to go home?"
"I did go home" I nod, then bite my lip "To pack because I just bought a house!"
His face lights up, "REALLY?! WHERE?! Can we go see it?!"
"No" I laugh "Not until they're finished cleaning it out"
"Damn" Andy frowns
"Can I-"
"Come in" He pulls me into his house and for the rest of today and tomorrow, I stay with him. They finish earlier then expected though, so the next morning I get a call that it's finished. Without even telling Andy, or the rest of the guy's that are over, I start screaming once I hangup the phone
"Who was it?!" They all demand, but I just run out of the house, leaving the door open and forgetting my bags
"AMANDA!" Andy tells as I run down the block, but I don't stop for FIVE miles until I beat my house. MY house... wow
Breathlessly I walk down a few streets till my breath slows. I look around, there's less and less houses and more trees, I recognize a block I drove down in a Taxi on the way to Andy's and my eyes light up. Then I start running again another mile and a half until I get to the front of it.
