Nightmares and kisses

Tony woke up at around 3am and decided to get coffee. Honestly no surprise there.

When he got there, Bucky was thrashing around on the floor, whimpering, having fallen off the couch, his nightmares in full force and tears streaming down his face. Tony didn't know about Bucky's nightmares and he didn't know how to help. Not having any idea what he was doing, Tony sat next to Bucky and started speaking in a soft voice that even he didn't know he was capable of. He told him it was okay, he was safe and he can wake up.

Bucky sprung up like someone connected battery cables to his chest. "FUCK!!"
Tony falls backward, startled by that.
"Holy shit..." he sighed and put his head in his hands, "Oh gods.."
"Are you okay?"
"Yeah.. yeah I'm okay.."
"Does that happen often?"
"Yeah, every night.. it's uh.. one of the side affects..."
Tony could tell this wasn't an easy  topic to discuss, and he doesn't want to force him to talk about it, after all, Bucky has been forced into doing things he didn't want to do enough before. Tony wasn't going to make him do it again.
"Of uh.." he mumbles "HYDRA.."
"It's okay, you don't have to talk about it."
"R-really?" Bucky looks up at Tony, scared to be hopeful.
"Yeah,"
"T-thanks.."
"No problem."

Teary eyed, Bucky smiled a bit, Tony smiled back at him reassuringly.

They sit there, still on the floor, Bucky's nightmares not fully gone yet, despite the fact he was awake, and Tony just hopping he was okay. Bucky took a few deep breaths, trying to make the nightmare go away.

Eventually they wore off, Tony sat there, not knowing how to comfort Bucky right now, as much as he wanted to do so. Bucky just wrapped his arm around Tony, giving him a side hug.

"Hey, uh thanks for waking me up.."
Tony smiled, "It's okay,"
"I don't think I could've gotten through anymore tonight, not gonna lie.."
"Well, I'm always here, I don't sleep much usually anyways."
Bucky chuckles softly, "Alright Iron boy,"
"Oh that's just beautiful,"
"Like you.."
"And you,"
Bucky chuckles softly "Lies, all lies."
"Bitch, no." Tony starts laughing.
"Bitch, yes."
"No."
"Okay, I'm too tired to argue with you right now."
Tony smiles and Bucky sighs, tiredly smiling back.

A few weeks later, Tony finds files that show him that the winter soldier was supposed to kill him. He quietly panics for a few days before finally asking Bucky about it.

"Did you break the programming first or did HYDRA just decide it wasn't worth the effort?"
Bucky blinks at him, "The one time I lined up a shot you bent over and I was so overcome at looking at your fantastic ass that I almost fell off the roof."
"What?"
"HYDRA decided it wasn't worth the risk, they figured you'd kill yourself as Iron Man anyway."
"What?"
"And to be fair I've always been an ass man."
"What?!"
"I don't know what to tell you man your ass is phenomenal."
Tony bursts out laughing "THAT IS THE BEST THING I'VE HEARD ALL WEEK!"
"I'm being serious man that ass is fantastic."
Tony just can't contain himself, he was cackling at this point. Almost like the person who is writing this.
"And. I. Want. It." Bucky says, he starts laughing uncontrollably too.
"You can have it," He can barely get his words out.
"After we finish rofl-coptering, maybe."

They both stand there, pretty much dying of laughter. It takes a while, but they manage to calm themselves.

"So as we were saying, that ass."
"You want it?"
"Oh yes."
"Come and get it then."
"You're gonna wish you didn't say that." Bucky grins evilly.
"We'll see."
Bucky jumps on Tony's back, wrapping his arms around his neck. "OH YES WE WILL SEE IRON BOY!"
"INDEED WE WILL!" Tony laughs.

Bucky kisses Tony, and he kisses him back. They stumble into Tony's room, still kissing.
"You. Me. Bed. Now."
"Gladly."
Bucky laughs. "Lovely."
"Indeed."

Soon, they were having some very great sex. (I am really sorry I just need to contain myself)
