In order for this to be coherent, there need to be a few loose rules.
Writing the story:
• your story must be in English.
• you must follow the prompt.
• your story may have a cliffhanger ending, but it has to be completed.
• it should be a minimum of 1,000 words, but no longer than 6,000. These are short stories.
• it has to have a title.
• for everything to stay consistent, it must be written in 3rd person limited, past tense.
• keep it PG-13. No excessive swearing (a little is ok), and no f-words :)
• as of right now, you may write more than one story, but they must be about completely different characters.
Submitting your story:
• follow all the instructions on the next page.
• you must allow me to correct grammar mistakes. I will also comment other suggestions, but you don't have to take them. I will help you edit if you need help.
• you must allow me to post your story in the book on this profile titled "The Day After." I will dedicate the part to you so everyone knows who wrote it. You're also free to post it on your own profile and do whatever you want with it, because it's your story.
Other rules:
• be nice please.
• follow this account and add both this book and "The Day After" to your library to get announcements and support other writers.
• you should read others' stories as well to show your support.
• when commenting on others' stories, tag the user so they receive the comment.
• if you want to remove your story for any reason, message me and I will do so immediately.
