If you are interested in participating, the first step is writing your story and editing it to the best of your ability. There should be no spelling mistakes, and very few grammar mistakes.
Second, message me personally (DragonSwirl) with the title of your short story, and I'll give you my email. Make sure your username and the title of the story are at the top of the document, then share the Google doc with me, or if you can't share it, email it. When you share, make sure it says that I can suggest and comment on your work. I will make sure it is grammatically correct and that it follows all the rules, and I'll help with some other basic editing like clarifying paragraphs and staying in character. I will try to look at it within a week of your submission, but sometimes life gets hectic and I don't have time.
Once it is complete and it has been edited, you will send me another personal message telling me you're ready for publishing, and I will copy it into "The Day After," dedicate the part to you so people know that you were the author, and give a shout out both on this profile and my main profile with your username and the title of your story, as well as a link to the book.
I hope all of this works, and if it doesn't, I'll get back to you and fix bugs.
