"calm down," namjoon stood up and gestured for them to sit. "what do you mean?"

lisa pushed the girl's hand off her and walked forward, her arm crossed in front of her chest. "exactly like we said. there's nobody outside."

"as in, we're the only ones here?" jennie asked, slowly rising up as well. lisa rolled her eyes and didn't respond, which made jennie stand up straight at once. she kicked her chair back to beat some manners into the girl, but got stopped by jisoo, who wrapped her hand around her arm.

"stop being fucking aggressive for once."

jennie huffed and rolled her eyes.

"how do you even know? maybe everyone's just inside."

"that's just it," chaeyoung said, her voice trembling. "my father is always home during the day, because he has the night shift. but he wasn't home! and he didn't answer my call!"

"and," lisa added, her nonchalant demeanor crimbling down a little. "the bus didn't come."

the door suddenly opened again.

"chae! where were you?"

jisoo and jennie sighed at the arrival of jimin. he grabbed his girlfriend by her hand and gave her a quick peck on her lips. chaeyoung took a step back, embarrassed, and didn't look up, afraid to see their faces and reaction. jisoo glared at the guy sharply. she really didn't trust him.

lisa made a face at the guy and grabbed her classmate's hand. jimin scowled at the exchange student and pulled his girlfriend back to him.

"what the hell are you doing?" he snapped at her.

the blonde held back a smirk. "i'm scared. i need my friend close to me or i might cry."

she said that, but her face looked anything but scared. in fact, it was chaeyoung who looked like she wanted to cry.

"do-don't cry, lisa." she said, wrapping an arm around her classmate's waist. she wondered since when they were friends. the girl didn't look at her boyfriend.

"jimin, is it true?"

"huh? what?" he arrogantly replied, cocking an eyebrow up at the council president.

"those two freshmen said that there's nobody outside."

jimin nodded his head. "oh, that. yeah. i didn't see anyone, either."
