4.34 pm.

You were working at your dads music store for guitars, equipment and records. You were searching through the collection of records and found a new album called Stick It To Ya by Slaughter. The name made you a bit curious so you put it on the record player and hit play. You sat down, propped your feet up the counter and opened your magazine. You suddenly heard the little bell, announcing that people entered the store. You looked up and saw a blond haired guy and a dark haired guy. "Ah, finally a store that plays some good music." The blond guy said as he headed for the bass guitars. The dark haired guy gave you a small nod as he walked over to the electric guitars. You tried to focus on your magazine but your eyes kept going to the dark haired guy. He was rather tall, long hair and had an incredibly cute smile. Then you heard a song that sounded really good, pulling you out of your thoughts. You put away the magazine and grabbed the record cover to see what song it was. "Up All Night." You looked up and saw the dark haired guy standing in front of you. "What?" You asked as you put the record cover down. "The song, you were looking for the name right?" He showed you a cute smile. "Uh yeah, thanks. Can I help you with anything?" You asked taking your feet off the counter. "Yes, I'd like to try a Les Paul." He said. "Sure which one?" You asked as you walked with him. "That one." He pointed at a red Gibson. You took it down for him and plugged it in. You always had an amp ready for when people wanted to try a guitar. I handed him the guitar and he started playing along with the song that was playing. When the song ended his friend came over. "Sounds good, Mark!" He said, patting his friend on the back. "That record came out yesterday, how do you know all the notes so well?" You asked. "We wrote that song honey." The blond one said. You looked at the guy whose name was Mark. "You guys are Slaughter?" You asked in disbelief. "The one and only." Mark smiled as he handed you the guitar back. "I'd like to buy this one." You nodded and walked back to the counter. "Do you think Slaughter's gonna be big?" You asked as Mark paid for the guitar. "Definitely." The blond guy smirked as he leaned against the counter. "Well then I have to ask you to sign this before you're too popular." You smiled and pointed at the record cover. "Sure thing." The blond guy said, you handed him a marker and he signed the record. He then handed the marker to his band mate who wrote down some words. "What's your name?" He asked as he looked up at you. "Very subtle, man." The blond guy grinned. "Shut it, Dana." Mark gave his friend an annoyed look and looked back at you. "(Y/N)." You said, he wrote down some more words and eventually signed it. "Here you go." He handed me the marker and the record cover. "See ya later, (Y/N)." Dana said as he walked towards the door. Mark just gave you a smile and followed his friend. You frowned a little as you read what Mark wrote down.

"Thanks for the guitar, (Y/N)."

Under that sentence he had written a phone number with the words 'Call me. -Mark Slaughter.' And his autograph. You couldn't help but smile as you stared at the numbers.

8.56 pm.

You hesitated for a second before dialing the number. You listened to the beeps until you heard his voice. "Mark Slaughter." "Hey Mark! It's (Y/N), from the music store." You said, hoping he'd remember you. "Oh hey (Y/N)! I'm glad you called, I have a question for you." He said and you smiled. "Is there something wrong with the guitar?" You asked. "Oh no, the guitar is perfect. No, I was wondering if you'd like to go and get a drink with me tomorrow." He said while your smile got bigger. "Yeah I'd love that!" You said, wondering if you sounded a bit too exited. "Great! Uhm, 2 pm at the coffee shop across from the music store?" He suggested. "Sounds good! I'll see you tomorrow then." You smiled and listened to his good bye. "See ya tomorrow, (Y/N)."

The next day, 1.55 pm.

You'd already seen Mark enter the coffee shop a few minutes ago so you quickly grabbed your things. "See ya tomorrow, dad!" You yelled as you left the store to cross the street. You entered the shop and scanned the room, searching for the guy who you secretly liked. "Hey (Y/N)!" A hand gently grabbed your elbow. You turned around and saw Mark standing behind you with that cute smile. "Hey." You smiled back as he lead you to a booth in a corner by the window. "You look pretty today." He smiled and blushed slightly. "Thank you! You look pretty too." You both chuckled. A waiter came over, Mark ordered a dark coffee and you ordered (insert drink here). "So you like music huh?" Mark asked as the waiter walked away. "Definitely." You said. "Let me guess, you like rock?" He asked and you nodded. "I grew up with rock, my dad plays guitar and drums and has a big thing for vinyls so he started a music store underneath his apartment." You said as the waiter came back with your drinks. "But tell me about you and that band of yours." You said as you took a sip of your drink. "Well uhm, the other band members are Dana, that guy who was with me yesterday, Blas and Tim. Dana is bass, Blas is drums, Tim is lead guitar and I'm rhythm guitar and lead vocals." He said, taking a sip of his hot coffee. "You're lead vocals?! Man, you have an amazing voice."
He smiled and looked at you. "Thanks, it's nice to hear that." He said as his eyes wandered to the window where they stopped. He frowned a little and you turned around to see Dana standing on the sidewalk with a big grin on his face. You waved at him and he gave you a small wave back. "Oh no.." Mark rubbed his face as Dana walked into the shop. "Sup (Y/N)?" He said as he plopped down next to you. "Is he doing okay or did he fuck up?" He asked as he kicked his friend underneath the table. "Oh he's doing fine, I might even consider a second date." You grinned and gave Mark a little wink. "Wow, you hear that, dude? She's totally into you. But hey I gotta go again. It was nice to see you again (Y/N)." He got up and looked at Mark. "See you tonight buddy." He looked at you for a second and smirked. "Or not." He winked at you and left. You looked at Mark who had an annoyed look on his face. "Please don't listen to him." He sighed and finished his coffee. You chuckled and finished your drink too. Mark insisted on paying your drink and you both thanked your waiter as you left. "Are you really considering a second date?" He asked as we stood in front of the coffee shop. "Nope, I've made my decision." You smiled as he raised his eyebrows a little. "And?" He asked with a hopeful smile. "Hmm, I don't know if I should tell you now. Maybe you should give me a ride home first." You grinned as he rolled his eyes. "Fine." He chuckled and lead you to his car. You gave him the directions as he drove through town. You only lived a few blocks away so the ride wasn't that long. He pulled up in front of your apartment and looked through his window. As soon as he turned around to look at you, you took his face in your hands and softly pressed your lips against his. You felt his hand on your waist as he kissed you back. You pulled away to look at him, he smiled and asked, "So when's that second date?" "You can stop by tomorrow for dinner, I'll be making lasagna." You smiled as he looked at your lips. "I'd love that." He smirked and kissed you again. You pulled away again softly patted him on the cheek. "See ya tomorrow." You said as you left the car. He gave you a small wave as you looked back before stepping through the door.
