Last time on Half and Half...
Lexa met Anna's friend, Elena, during lunch. The 3 made plans to go to the popular club, The Dragon Claw, that night. Later in the day, they arrive at the club and are prepared to experience the insane things that was about to go down. This is where we left off.
"So, you guys ready," Elena began, "to see the amazing things that happen at this club to unfold in front of you?" "I think." Lexa responded. Lexa, Anna, and Elena walk towards the club and walk down the old, cracked stone stairs. As they dissented into the club, the sound of heavy metal music filled there ears. They stepped onto the black and red carpet of the club, the music destroying their eardrums.
There was a stone sculpture of a dragon head on one side of the room, and near the back there was a bright disco ball, with bright party lights surrounding it and shining off of the disco ball. There was a mosh pit of teenagers on the dance floor, head banging and bumping into each other. There were 3 kids doing Fortnite dances on one side of the room, and as a result, 4 trolls crowded around the high schoolers and beat the crap out of them (as they deserved, I mean, c'mon, don't do Fortnite dances in public). "Boy, this is, more intense than I expected." Lexa said with a shocked look on her face. The trio walked up a set of stairs to a bar, where a merman bartender was selling drinks (non alcoholic, of course).
"Hi, gimme 3 lemon-lime sodas for us please." Elena spoke to the merman. The 3 sat down on stools and began to chat. At that moment, Umbra sat down a seat down from them and stabbed her switchblade into the table. "Ma'am, maybe uhh, not stab your weapon into our table." The merman bartender said to Umbra. "How about I do, fish stick, now gimme a cola or you're dead." Umbra said, aggressively. "Hey, about you be nice to the poor guy." Anna said. "Get bent, looser!" Umbra yelled, putting her hair in a ponytail.
The bartender placed the sodas in front of the girls, shooting a nasty look at Umbra as he placed it in front of her. Umbra took a sip of her drink and an angry look crossed her face. "This soda's watered down!" Umbra exclaimed, as she threw the glass cup at the merman. The poor bartender jumped out of the way as the glass exploded on the wall. Lexa placed her drink on the table and stood up. "Ok, y'know what?" Lexa spoke to Umbra, "We're trying to have a good time here, and I'd prefer if your weren't a jerk, dude!" Umbra pulled her hand back, and slapped Lexa. Anna slammed her drink on the table and pushed Umbra towards the wall.
"Woah, let me get you some ice!" The merman said. He passed Lexa an ice pack and she picked it up and placed it on her face. "Thanks, sorry about Umbra, she's dreadful." Lexa said as Anna and Umbra were brawling in the background, with people recording the fight with their phones. "Ah, it's fine. I'm used to it." The bartender said in a chill tone, a contrast to the shouting of Umbra and Anna in the background, now with Anna trying to find a spell in her book to avoid the swings of Umbra's switchblade. "I'm Sebastian," the bartender said "I'd quit this god forsaken job, but I need the money." In a small amount of time, Lexa and Sebastian chatted and learned more and more about each other, and by the end, they both knew they greatly enjoyed each other.
"Tornado spell!" Anna yelled as a small but forceful tornado picked up Umbra and carried her to the dance floor. She fell into the aggressive mosh pit and was crushed by the barbaric high schoolers. "Screw you!" Umbra yelled to Anna as she drowned in the bustling , wild crowd. "Jeez, let's get out of here before something else bad happens." Elena said in a frantic tone. "Welp, I gotta go," Lexa said to Sebastian, "here's my number." She grabbed a napkin, and the pencil from Elena's notebook, and wrote down her phone number. "Wow, t-thanks!" Sebastian said, as a blush ran down his face. They smiled at each other as Lexa walked down the stairs.
"Well, that was, something." Anna said, scratching her head. "Hey, I saw you talking to that merman behind the bar, are you crushing on him?" Elena mocked, in a singsongy voice. "Haaa, haaaaaah. A little bit" Lexa said, in a quiet voice.
