What a vulgar piece of crap, you think to yourself as you roll your eyes and breathe in before turning around to face the intruder.
When you lock eyes with the man standing at the door, you become completely paralysed as your pulse starts beating in your ears, blocking out all other sounds before goosebumps start forming on your skin.
His chest is rising up and down heavily, his graceful long fingers clutching the door handle with such force that his knuckles are turning white.
A white robe hangs over his broad shoulders, rolled carelessly over the elbows, showing he was in a rush of some kind, as doctors usually are. His baby blue scrub shirt is crooked to the side, revealing his prominent collarbone.
You can see his carotid artery protruding out of the translucent skin on his neck, fiercely pumping the blood through his lean body.
His sharp jawline is clenched tightly and his finely shaped eyebrows are knit closely together as his eyes the colour of deep mahogany threateningly stare at you.
A fresh and uplifting smell of the hand sanitiser fills the office, but under that clean scent, you can sense something else.
The sickening smell of death.
A shaky breath leaves your throat when Dr Park starts speaking to that man, his steady voice calming down the tension building inside you. You give him a glance before you focus on the doctor standing at the door once again, realising something impossible.
You can't hear him. Not a single thought is coming from him and this time you're sure it's not like it was with Jimin where he completely spaced out for a moment.
When you try and focus on him once again, his sharp eyes meet yours.
"How rude." His clear guttural voice echoes through the office, gently flowing in your ears. You hum quietly, wondering if he's aware of the fact that you're trying to read his mind.
Surely that's not the case, you're just imagining things. Although his aura doesn't exactly give off completely human nature, that's for sure. "The only one being rude right now is you." It escapes your throat before you can control it.
Well, the first impression of a normal and polite girl is out the window now. Fucking perfect. It's just so frustrating that you're not able to read him, it's seriously starting to make you go insane.
When you finally find a reason to get out of the office, you grab your bag and get the hell out of there, not looking back even once.
When the doors close behind you, you crouch down as your knees buckle underneath you and cover your face with your shaky hands, breathing deeply to try and even out your heartbeat.
How can he be so intimidating? His whole existence leaves you trembling, making you wonder how will you be able to fight against the fear and manage to work when he's around. Even being in the same room with him is bringing a heavy feeling to your stomach.
He carries something with him that no one around him notices, or doesn't want to. You can feel there's something twisted in his demeanour, but you simply can't put your finger on it.
As a matter of fact, you're not even sure if you want to find out what's so different about him.
And then there's that inability to read his mind. Even scarier was the moment when he glared at you as if he knew what you were trying to do. You run your tongue over your teeth, closing your eyes to get that scene out of your head.
You can do this. Yes, you're scared shitless of Dr Kim Taehyung, but this isn't going to last forever and maybe this is just your paranoia getting the best out of you. Now get up.
