Wait There

Wait there in the sunlight

Let them see how pretty you look in this golden afternoon light

I know if they see how gorgeous you are that I won't be your only secret admirer anymore

It feels selfish, but I don't want competition

There's already too many not so secret admirers

I'll probably never get your attention

I don't even have a chance now

So I might as well call over our friends so that they can behold your beauty alongside me

It would be a dis-service to the world, just downright disrespectful, for me not to show them after the world has made such a perfect moment,

No its not the season, weather, or lighting that makes this perfect

Its you

I must show people after the universe made such a perfect person

But now I'll never hold you in my arms

Because they notice you too

But they'll never see you how I do

They'll never even be a contender

But its her choice

And her choice won't be me
