Backstory: Grace is a human in a world that says humans are better than Elementals, magical people. She and her family aren't like that, they think everyone should be equal. A couple of Elementals accidentally broke into her basement while exploring a tunnel system. They became friends, and she brought them food when they were being starved. They are now on a quest for equality.
