Steve Rogers stood in-front of a bathroom vanity mirror holding a blade. His beard was shaved off clean from his face making him look more young and presentable.
His eyes landed onto the side mirror that was slowly shaking at first. The remaining avengers that stood under the compound rushed outside to reveal Captain Marvel and The Phoenix with the ship known as the Benator. "That's it. Nice and easy." Carol said as Athea took it upon herself to help lower the space craft onto to ground with her purple shield surrounding it.
The two woman land onto the grass gently shortly after. The hatch to the ship opens up with a whirr and a few other sounds. The one known as Tony Stark's walked out alongside an unfamiliar being named Nebula. Steve jogs ahead to help balance the stumbling billionaire who had looked a massive mess." I couldn't have stopped him." Tony frowned.
"Neither could I." Steve replied. "I lost the kid." Tony whimpered.
"Tony we lost." Steve said
Athea watched in sadness as the man whom they had saved stood with depression radiating off of him. "Is uh -" Tony began. His lover rushed toward her man in an instant and hugged him "oh my god..." she whispered into his shoulder. He looked hazily at his teammates before heading into his old home. The other followed behind him.

"It's been 23 days since Thanos came to Earth. World governments are in pieces. The parts that are still working are trying to take a census." Natasha started examining the data gathered onto the screen before her.
"And it looks like he did... exactly what he said he was going to do. Thanos wiped out fifty percent, of all living creatures."
"Where is he now? Where is he?" Tony questioned. "We don't know.." Steve replied. "They claimed um... he had opened a portal and walked through." Athea spoke up. The Billionaire looked over to the young hero with rolled eyes. "And who might you be weird space alien?" He asked. Nebula growled and kicked his foot. He let out an "ouch" with Pepper giving him a disappointed look.
"I'm the person that will "kick his ass." Is that how you humans say it?" Athea said before looking at Carol in a questioning manner "Did I say it right?" was heard from the brunette.
Thor sat in a chair upset. His eyebrows furrowed as he fell deep in thought. "What's wrong with him?" Tony asked pointing at the god of thunder. "Yeah, he's pissed. He thinks he failed. Which of course he did, but there's a lot of that's goin' around, ain't there?" Rocket smirked.
"Honestly, until this exact second, I thought you were a Build-A-Bear." Tony stated. "Really? I thought he was a talking dog." Athea whispered in confusion to the Ex- Assassin.
"Maybe I am." Rocket retorted. Back to the subject, they all stood in front of an analyzing computer system tracking the worlds population and other unknown power sources in the area.
"We've been hunting Thanos for three weeks now. Deep Space scans, satellites, and we got nothing. Tony, you fought him." Steve explained.
Tony scoffed at the man "Who told you that? I didn't fight him. No, he wiped my face with a planet while the Bleecker Street Magician gave away the stone. That's what happened. There was no fight."
"Did he give you any clues, any coordinates, anything?" Steve asked Tony. "Pfft!" Tony started. "I saw this coming a few years back. I had a vision. I didn't wanna believe it. Thought I was dreaming."
"Tony, I'm gonna need you to focus." Steve grew frustrated."And I needed you. As in past tense. That trumps what you need. It's too late buddy. Sorry. You know what I need.....?" Stark stood up and pushed everything off the table around him. Everybody flinched at the sudden noise that echoed the facility.
"I need to shave. And I believe I remember telling you, Cap. "
Tony charged at Steve. Athea held out her hands and created a barrier to stop the man from any further damage. "Tony, Tony, Tony, stop!" Rhodey yelled and tried to pull the man out of his delusional faze.
"Otherwise what we needed was a suit of armor around the world! Remember that? Whether it impacted our precious freedom or not- that's what we needed!" Tony yelled in rage and shot at Athea with his hand. As her purple barrier fell down, she fell down and was blasted back into the wall going through several rooms. "Athea!" Carol screamed. Smoke covered her stomach as she stood up. "I'm fine. Merely just a scratch."Carol heard from her spot making her sigh out. The blonde gave the man a glare and ran out of the room.
"Well, that didn't work out, did it?" Steve snapped at his sudden change in demeanor. "I said, "we'll lose". You said, "We'll do that together too." Tony argued back.
"And guess what, cap? We lost. You weren't there. But that's what we do, right? Our best work after the fact? We're the Avengers, we're the Avengers. Not the Prevengers, right?"
"Okay, you made your point. Just sit down, ok?" Rhodey put his arms in front of his best friend."Nah, nah, nah." He pushed Rhodey away "Here's my point...."
"Sit down!" Rhodey barked. "They're both great actually we need you. New blood." He gestured toward Carol and Athea. The brunette growled and her eyes flashed a dangerous purple light. "Tony!" Rhodey yelled once more.
"Bunch of tired old mills! I got nothing for you, cap! I got no coordinates, no clues, no plan, no options. Zero. Zip. Nada. No trust. Liar." Stark admitted. The next thing the man did was frightening. He shoved his hand into the hole in his chest and pulled his Arc Reactor out. "Here, take this. You find him, and you put that on. You hide..." he wheezed.
Stark collasped on to the floor beneath him gasping for air. Steve ran to his friends side "Tony!" Rhodey yelled.
"I'm fine... I jus-" Stark faded away into a sleep.
