I had a cigarette in my mouth as I stood in the dark. The time was exactly 4:03 in the afternoon as I inhaled the smoke. I blew a puff of smoke out as I returned the stick to my mouth.
Moments passed as I pulled out the cigarette my mouth as I looked down the road. The familiar, yet exotic sound reached my ears as the vehicle pulled up.
4:05
I turned around and looked at the empty space. Yellow lines blocked anyone from crossing over. I put my cigarette on the ground and smashed it. I faced the limo that awaits me and enter the vehicle.
"Long time no see Ms. Joilo." A voice called out. This made me smile as I looked up at him.
"Hello again Mr. Carlson. It's good to see you again." I said with honestly. The old man smiled as his eyes also held happiness.
"Im glad you're well. Even though you been through a rough time, I'm just glad that you're healthy and well." He spoke. I chuckled sadly as I examined myself.
I wore dark pants with some black, army boots. My shirt was black with the digits of pi on it. I had a black, leather jacket and piercings on my left ear and my tongue. My hair was cut, so I had short, curly hair that was mostly a bang on the right side of my face.
I looked up at him to see his familiar eyes again. This is the only person I tolerate with. Because he was the one to actually speak to me like a human being. The one thing that wasn't horrible while working as a maid at the Sakamaki's mansion.
"I'll admit, I have changed a whole lot since then, and not in a way I'm satisfied with. Instead, I've gotten a whole lot worse than the last time we meet Mr. Carlson." I honestly told him as he started the car. "And besides, with black clothing, you don't really have to choose what to wear."His eyebrows was drawn together as he looked at me with pity.
"Something did change with you. Would you perhaps tell me?" He asked. I sighed jokingly and smirked at him.
"I afraid you wouldn't understand Mr. Carlson. Besides, I'm sure that you already know how I changed." I looked at his car mirror and saw him grin. He shook his head as we stopped at a stoplight.
"You've gotta more slick now Joilo. I'm afraid that's not good manners." He jokes. I smirked as I closed my eyes and laid my head back.
"That means I'm right. You do know how much I changed." He just chuckles as I reached for another cigarette and my lighter.
"My, you changed so much in these months. I'm now curious of how you changed into one of us." He blabbers. I watched as the cigarette light and put it to my mouth.
I sighed as I am reminded how I hate the way I am now.
Ever since I changed, I wonder what's the point of returning to who I am.
I mean, there's no way to go back to being human, so I might as well do whatever the hell I want.
Even if it means doing a mission as insane as this, at least I won't be bored for a while.
