The day went by like a blur, even the drive home went by like any other. Mr. Carlson seemed to noticed my mood and took the silence from me. He can be really patience with me, and I appreciate that.
Just as I was about to get out of the car, the sound of the door clicked as I slowly looked at Mr. Carlson.
"Just before you go, don't let those foolish brothers power over you. I dislike seeing you in such a state every time I picked up from school." He spoke with firmness in his voice. I nodded my head, giving him a small smirk as I raised my head up.
"Thanks for the motivating words Mr. C." He narrowed his eyes at me. It was quiet for a moment, with just him glaring at me.
"Don't call me that."
"Yes sir, have a good day Mr. Carlson."
"Same to you."
The door unlocked as I quickly got out. I let out a breath I was holding as I heard the limo drive away.
Note to self, don't call older people by nicknames unless they tell you themselves that it's fine.
I felt exhausted. The darkness of the morning always confused me, because it always seemed to be dark outside. The sun should be rising by now, or maybe it's because the weather's getting colder.
These thoughts entered my mind as I approached my door. Picking the keys from my bag, I unlocked the door as usual and made my way inside.
As I closed the door behind me, I placed my school bag on the floor next to the entrance and walked further into my apartment. However, the minute I took a step into my house, I immediately felt a presence in the room.
I picked my head up, it didn't take long for me to spot the brat sitting on my kitchen counter. Clinging on his bear, his rocked his feet with a smile on his face.
"Well well, look who's finally home~" He said cheerfully as I groaned.
How did he know where I stayed? And why is he inside my apartment?
To say I was surprised would be a lie. These brothers are always trying to sneak up on me as if I'm not also a creature of the night. They are so used of dominating others that they forgotten that we're basically equal as of now.
'You say all this shit now, but you still get in your feelings when these brothers so much as ignore you' I thought to myself. I became angry at that thought, however I knew it was the truth.
I sighed. I didn't feel like dealing with him today, "Okay, what are you doing here Kanato?"
Kanato just gave me a smile. It looked sweet and real, like a cute child, but I know that attitude can change if I so much as breath the wrong way.
"I just wanna make some cookies with Joilo-chan! You are going to make some right?"
I stood there, registering the words he just spoke. Took me a while to understand what he just said. A moment of silence past by.
"The f*ck did you just call me-"
"Alright, let's make some cookies!" He said as he hopped off the counter holding Teddy by the hand. Or paw in this matter.
"Why can't you just leave. I don't work for you anymore." I said. Kanato ignored me as he started taking out ingredients for these so called "cookies". He just wanna make cookies right? Nothing more. No freaky shit like last time right?
I took a breath. I looked up and saw Kanato washing his hands in the sink.
I don't feel like dealing with his sadistic side at the moment.
"Here's the deal, I'll make cookies with you, take some from the batch, then you can go home and leave me alone."
After drying his hands, Kanato looked back at me. He just stares at me, with his purple eyes. He had a poker face, and it started to give me chills not knowing what he was thinking at that point.
And then he suddenly smiles.
