Hey readers! Super excited to share the next chapter of this story with you all. Like I said in my last chapter, I have a lot planned for this story. But that's enough of me, now onto the story!
*Flashback*
I walk into my new high school building for the first time. It's already December; people will obviously notice me as the new girl.
I'm now inside the building. I look down at my schedule that was mailed to me a couple days ago. Oh no, I can already feel the eyes wandering onto me, singling me out as a newcomer. I can't hear their whispers, but I try not to.
I'm so busy looking down at my schedule/map that I don't notice someone right in front of me. The next thing I know, all of my stuff in my hands flys everywhere onto the floor.
Pick it all up, Ashley, I mutter to myself, kneeling down. Pick it up fast so that you don't attract any more unwanted atten-
"Oh my god, I'm so sorry," a voice says to me. I look up to see a guy my age, maybe a year older than me. Gosh, he has awesome blue eyes. Kneeling, he quickly helps me scoops up my stuff and hands it all back to me.
"I haven't seen you before," he says, standing up. "I'm Chris." He offers me his hand.
I smile timidly. "I'm Ashley," I answer back. I take his hand and he helps me stand up.
"Very chivalrous, Cochise," someone says. I then just notice someone standing next to him, also around my age. "You know, for a guy who doesn't have much experience with girls-"
"Screw off, Josh," Chris said, grinning.
Shrugging, his friend turns away. "I'll catch you at lunch, bro," he said, waving.
"Later," Chris said. Then he turns to me. God, I can't get enough of his blue eyes.
"Hey, I caught a glimpse of your schedule, and I saw that we pretty much have the same classes together," he tells me. "You want some help going around? It's a pretty big school."
Maybe this is a chance for me to make a new friend on my first day, I think to myself. "Sure, I guess I could use some help around here. Thanks," I say to him.
"Come on," he tells me. "We've got English with Mr. Green first. He's kinda a bore, so you probably won't like him either but still..." he trailed off.
"Oh. Um... well, I actually like to read and write," I say to him.
"Really?" Chris says, seeming a little surprised. "Well then, see for yourself."
For the rest of the morning, Chris and I walk around the school, introducing me to his teachers. I think I like them all, but it is only first day.
"Ok, Ashley," Chris says to me, leaving Biology. "We finally get to chow!" he exclaims, pumping his fist triumphantly. Sorta corny, but also kind of cute. I follow him into the cafeteria.
"Thanks for everything so far, Chris," I say to him. "I guess I'll get out of your hair for a little bit and find a different table-"
"Absolutely not," Chris interrupts, smiling. "Can't leave you to hang out to dry. Come on, I'll introduce you to my friends." He gestures for me to come. "I promise they don't bite." I don't really have a choice but to follow him.
What am I doing, I think to myself, walking behind Chris. I barely even know this guy, and I'm probably already annoying to him on my first day here, and I still can't get enough of his eyes, so I really want to stay with him at the same time, and I also find him cute, and-

Until Dusk
أدب الهواةThis story takes place following the events of Until Dawn. It focuses on one particular character, Ashley (one of my favorite characters). I will (be attempting to) write about her life after the lodge.
