I woke up really early this day. It was a Saturday, and I remember my best friend coming over to eat breakfast. I had a lot of gifts so she helped me carry them on the train as we made it to Manhattan. We went to Regal Cinemas this time, instead of the usual AMC. We watched Burn the Stage in a mostly empty theater, and it was remarkable. During and after the movie, I stayed in contact with Kearah because I was going to meet her at the train station. She was staying in Brooklyn with family, and working, so it was the best time for both of us. We decided to let her know that we would wait in the nearby Barnes & Noble's. After looking around, we went outside because I wanted to buy some of Kearah's favorite sweets. We went back inside and searched the whole bookstore, but we couldn't find her, and my messages + calls weren't relaying. Then, just as we were deciding where to look next, my best friend's face lit up, and I automatically turned around.

There she was. Kearah, actually there. In person. With a bunch of bags in her hand. After processing the initial shock, I remember running to her and giving her the biggest hug. We exchanged gifts and I just started talking nonstop. Then, I made her try New York Cheesecake. After leaving the bookstore, we ventured around Manhattan a little. Then, we got on the train back to the Bronx. My best friend went home, & Kearah and I went to my elementary school's playground. We talked and talked, and it was honestly surreal. It was an amazing day.

This was just any other school day for me. I woke up, followed my routine, and made my way to school. I was participating in the school play and I had rehearsal after school that day since the play was in two weeks, but I decided to skip because I had something important to do. After school was over, I made sure I had my Christmas/early birthday/going away gift prepared. It was a little goodie bag containing a necklace I bought at Hot Topic because I know Kearah wanted it. We agreed to meet in the same playground, so we were talking on the phone as I was making my way there. I entered and immediately saw her waiting. I semi-attacked her again with affection and we just sat down to talk for a while. Then, we went to the Dunkin Donuts around the corner, and brought back donuts to the playground because I had a little celebration for her birthday planned out. I had brought my candle and matches, so I lit them and used the donuts as a cake (lmao), and we just had the most fun together, being silly and enjoying the moment.

Then, since we had time to spare, we met with another best friend a couple blocks away at a different Dunkin Donuts. We talked and read poetry and talked some more, then we went to the library around the corner, and talked some more. Then, I remember walking Kearah back to the train station and refusing to let go. It was still be one of my most dearest memories.

Meeting Kearah will always be one of the most important moments of my life. I'm forever happy I was able to see her, and I can't wait for the future when I'll be able to see her all the time.

Love you @xixsunflower 💜
