Christian's P.O.V

Wow! I thought she was cute as a nerd, but look at her now! She is stunning. I'm gonna ask her out on a date. Wish me luck!

"Aye, Janay. Lemme ask you something, gorgeous."

"Shoot it."

"Do you want to go on a date with me?"

"Um.. No"

"Oh okay." My heart just shattered into a million pieces.

"I'm just kidding. Of course I'll go on a date with you!" She began laughing hard. It was very adorable.

"Okay, tomorrow night. Wear something nice! I gotta go home for school tomorrow. So, bye best friend!" I said as I packed up my belongings.

"See you tomorrow, shawt." She winked.

Janay's P.O.V.

Shawty gotta date! Tomorrow is my second day of school. Well, for me it is. Ugh! I am not looking forward to this at all. I took a shower, and put on a tank top and my minnie mouse pajama shorts. I charged my phone, and went to sleep.

Next Day

I woke up to my phone playing 'No Love' by August Alsina. I got up and went to take a shower. I brushed my teeth and started to get dressed. My phone beeped notifying me that I got a text.

"Good Morning, beautiful. I'll pick you up for school, and we can go to Dunkin Donuts."

I texted back.

"Sure. Be here in 15."

I put my phone down, and started to get dressed. I put on my marvel red tight crop top, with acid washed high wasted skinny jeans, and my red toms. I curled my hair, and combed my front bangs. I grabbed my new bag for school, and waited for Christian.

Then, my phone beeped.

"I'm here, shawtaay."

"Mom, I'm leaving!" I shouted.

"Okay, sugar. Have a nice day!" She shouted back.

I grabbed my phone and my bag. I got into the car with Christian, and we drove off. We got to Dunkin Donuts in like 3 minutes. We got out the car and went inside. The coffee smell strucked me as soon as we walked in. I ordered a cheese and sausage croissant with a french vanilla caramel frappe. Christian ordered a sausage biscuit and iced coffee. Once we finished eating, we drove off to school. My heart was basically pounding out of my chest because this is the first day going to school with a 'new look'. I wasn't ready at all.

We were finally at school, and all eyes were on me.

"Woaaaaah! Is that... Janay?"

"Lawwwwd! She fine!"

"Ugh. Why does she get all the attention now? She was just a loser yesterday!" Some snobby girl said clearly jealous.

Me and Christian were just walking to 1st period. We sat together in the middle row. The teacher wasn't here yet, so people were coming up to me.

"Omg, hi Janay! I'm Britney! You're very pretty."

"Thank you, lovely." I smiled.

I felt like a celebrity, lol. Then, the teacher came in. He taught some stuff, then, it was time for lunch. I got a slice of sausage pizza, a bag of chips, and a can of sprite. Then, 2 pretty girls came up to us.

"Hi, we're new. Can we sit with y'all?" One girl asked.

"Sure!" I said with a smile.

"What's your names?" I asked.

"I'm Cherrie, and this is my sister Vanessa." One twin said.

"Oh. I'm Janay and this is my best friend, Christian." I pointed out.

We all were laughing and having a great time. We exchanged numbers. They were fraternal twins, which means they're twins that don't look alike like identical twins. We all walked to our last period. On the way there, a cute boy winked at me. Knowing me, I was blushing like crazy.

Christian's P.O.V.

I saw that guy wink at Janay. That guy was my best friend, Aiden. He is on the school's basketball team with me. I knew when we have practice that he is gonna ask for her number. I knew that me and her were just best friends, but I did have small feelings for her. Even though I had my eye on one of the twins, Cherrie. Don't get me wrong, I'm looking forward to me and Janay's date tonight.

The rest of the day was pretty chill. We did absolutely nothing, but watch educational videos and took notes. Once the bell rung, I went to the guys' locker room to get ready for basketball practice. Then, Aiden came up to me.

"Hey, dude. I heard Janay is like your best friend."

"Yeah, so?"

"Lemme get her number!"

"Why? I was there for her the whole time, and all of a sudden she gets a makeover, you suddenly care about her."

"It's not even like that, man. Forget it. I'll just ask her myself."

He just walked away. I was in my uniform, and I just slammed my locker door shut. I was clearly pissed off with Aiden. I don't even know why. I just brushed it off, and went into the gym to warm up with lay-ups and free-throws.

Janay's P.O.V.

It is now 6:45 p.m. I started getting ready for my date with Christian. He said he'll be here at 7:30. I picked out my outfit, which was a red tank top, a black skater skirt, and my Carmine's. I took a 10 minute shower, and began to get dressed. I straightened my hair, which was down my back. By the time I was finished. It was 7:40 and Christian still wasn't here. I was beginning to worry. I texted him.

"Hey, what happened to our date?"

I called him like 5 times. No answer of none of them. I was beginning to cry. What if he stood me up? What if someone said something to make him change his mind about the date? I changed out of my clothes, and just cried. I took off my makeup, and changed into a tank top and black shorts. Then, my mom came in.

"Honey, I thought you had a date."

"H-he stood m-me up." I said between each sob.

She comforted me for a little while, then she left and she closed the door. I just watched the 'Everybody Hates Chris' marathon on MTV, ate my hot fries, and just cried, cried, cried. Then, I heard the doorbell.

"I got it!" My mom shouted.

Janay's mom's P.O.V

I went downstairs to see Christian in his basketball uniform and all sweaty. I was very upset he hurt my little girl.

"I'm so sorry! I got caught up in practice. Can I go talk to Janay?" He said with a worried look.

"I'm pretty sure by now that she cried herself to sleep. She's really hurting right now." I said in a disappointed tone.

"Just let her know that I'm sorry. Goodbye." He said and walked back to his car.
