Harry
It was Sunday and I had begun preparing for my day with Daisy. I packed food, including some candy and chips just in case she didn't like the salads I made and the sandwhiches I tried to make. I even went out and bought some vegetable sushi, not forgetting that Daisy was a vegetarian.
At half past 5, I sent Daisy a text, telling her to start heading to the beach.
I hopped on my bike, slinging my backpack over my shoulders, first making sure to pack a blacket that we could sit on.
The beach wasn't far from my house- or Daisy's, as a matter of fact. It was a 10 minute walk or a 3-5 minute bike ride.
I started down my road, making a left turn, passing by the little pond surrounded with a total of about 9 benches. I got to the main road, crossing the street quickly but with caution.
I went all the way down the road, taking a right then immediately a left, the road taking me to a parking lot for the beach.
Hopping off my bike, I walked down to the water, bike by my side.
There weren't many people as it was starting to get late and the sun was probably going to set in no more than 2 hours.
I let my bike fall to the sad, then placed my bag next to it, opening it then pulling out a large blanket I laid it down, making an area for us to sit.
One by one, I pulled out the food, starting with the junk food, followed by the sushi and the food I had attempted to make.
Setting up took 5 minutes at the most as I decided we’d need some music so I pulled out my phone and took forever to make a play list.
Once everything was ready, I turned around to see if Daisy had arrived. And thank god, she was here.
“Harry!” she said happily, running down the little hill.
“Daisy!”
I pulled her into a hug, commenting on the scent of her hair. She giggled. “Thanks, Harry.”
We sat down next to each other on the blanket and right away, she picked up the sushi and opened up the container of salad, digging in right away. She began to tell me about her date with Kurtis the night before.
“He is so sweet. He took me out to this fancy restaurant but I got spaghetti. SPAGHETTI! God, he probably thinks I’m weird..” She begun, pausing every once in a bit to chew and swallow her food.
Kurtis is her boyfriend. He’s a football player, and by football, I mean that weird American type where you play with your hands, not your feet.
Its ridiculous, but people still seem to find it enjoyable.
Daisy's a cheerleader for the team and has been since year 9, the year they started dating.
Kurtis had a reputation that girls never seemed to care about. He wasn't ugly, I'll give him that, but he's had a lot of girlfriends. In year 10, when he and Daisy were 'taking a break', he dated half the girls in our grade. The other half he just made out with and partied with a lot.
After about 3 months of his constant partying and hooking up with girls, him and Daisy got back together.
I was honestly hoping that they'd be done and over with, but she went back to him. She saw how easily he got over her when she said she felt like they had to take a break.
But Harry, you guys are year 11 now, they've been dating for, like, a year! Obviously he's changed.
No, he hasn't.
