Third person’s POV:

The moon glowed in all its glory lighting up the waters in a shiny glimmer. Frogs hopped about the lake as the crickets hummed in an all too familiar tune jumping around the bushes. They were just content with the calm atmosphere of the cool breezy night or they were trying to impress their mates no one knows.
The Moonflowers pack was known to be one of the most powerful packs in the world. Well, nobody messes with them unless they were looking for trouble. And let me tell you, the wars involving their pack never ended well. Too much of blood and destruction never shook their heart to grant mercy as they ruthlessly snapped the enemies' necks. They had a very high place in the werewolf society and were highly respected.
That night,  she was taking a stroll through the forest in her wolf form. Her golden fur shone with brilliance under the moonlight. The cool breeze made her fur fly back as she trotted through the bushes enjoying the night's atmosphere. Her eyes gleamed bright like fire as she took her time taking in her surroundings not missing a miniature masterpiece of nature. The forest was breathtakingly beautiful. She took slow steps watching her paws press down on the bed of grass and dirt leaving a footprint there.

The day’s stress had got to her eventually draining out all her energy. She walked with her ears drooped.
University was tiring as usual. Academics and sports and a lot of stupid drama to top it off. And if you had to survive through the university years, then you had to be in the popular group or at least an averagely outgoing group. She was in the second one. She was a goody two shoes nerd who would rather study on a Friday night being confined to the four walls of her room than lose her mind downing a million shots and dance in crowded places. She despised parties from the depth of her heart , maybe it was the strong , unpleasant scent of alcohol that burnt her nostrils or the thought of dancing among sweaty bodies that made her uncomfortable. She never really liked crowded places even though she wasn’t claustrophobic. But, her friends were completely different from her. They would rather let loose on a weekend than study like her. They did get pretty decent grades but were not the toppers like her. It's not like they never invited her to join them. In fact, they always tried to drag her all the way to the party after forcing her into a dress but she always found a way to escape back home. Well, that’s Rose Evangeline for you.
She trotted faster when her house came into view a few feet away. I would rather call it a mansion because that’s what it was. They might be living in the wild but the pack houses were all stylish agreeing with the modern standards not a shabby temporary hut built with mud and hay.

Rose's pov:

I unlocked the front door and stepped in.

"Stop right there young lady! Where do you think you are going?"

My mom's words made me stop right in my tracks as I was tiptoeing towards my room. I didn't expect her to be awake so late at night. It was past midnight and I hadn't called a soul to inform them I would be coming late. I had even blocked everyone else's calls. I knew a big annoying lecture awaited me but I had hoped it wouldn't be today. Well, there goes my luck....

"How many times have I told you not to ignore my calls or call me if you will be coming late? I'm worried about you sweetie. The forest is also a home to many rogues and we can't predict when they will attack. Staying out all alone this late at night is very dangerous and you know it too.............blah blah blah"

I tuned her out making myself busy by texting Claire.

(Claire-C)
