It's a cold, but nice Christmas Day. After opening gifts and presents, we headed to Great Grandma's house to open more gifts and have lunch. My older Cousin was there and of course, we would always go outside and kick the snow and play ice hockey as the ice block playing the role of the puck. I imagined It was like being in the National foot hockey tournament.
After a while, we would drive to the farm in the country side of the state to visit my Aunt. After eating dinner, me, my Cousin, and Caroline went down to the basement as always to play pool and ping pong. Caroline is my older sister. She is nice, funny, acts like a teenager at times, and her nickname is Carey cause she is caring.
Once we got down there, we would mess around with the pool table and then we would play the actual game. Me and my Cousin would always be on a team and Caroline would be by her self since she is more experienced at pool. We would take turns on ping pong or go 2 on 1. Family members would come down and we would watch them or battle them at ping pong. Normally, the best player would win.
I was sitting down on the ground and watching my Sister go against our Cousin. Then, out of my curiosity I looked behind me and I saw this odd insect coming out from that strange hole that is in the dark corner of the house. The closer it got into the light, the more I could make out of it. When it was a few inches away from me, I recognized it as a spider. Since I have arachnophobia, I was quite frightened by it with fear filling my body.
I couldn't move with that spider staring into my soul. Imagining the Spider like a mountain, I cannot climb over the fear it holds. Although, being just a small creature, it's the Bigfoot of the mountain. I try to climb the mountain, but fear keeps falling upon me like an avalanche causing me to end at the bottom where I began the journey. Then suddenly I feel a snowball hit me gently on the side of my head.
I wake from my Imagination to see the ping pong ball hit the side of my head and I take my eyes off the spider to pick up the ball and throw it back to Carey so they can continue playing. When I looked back to see the spider, it was gone. Fear was all around me. I frantically searched to see where it was and to my findings, I found it on my right arm.
Shocked as if lightning struck me from above. I was a statue just staring at it. Upon closer investigation, the Spider appeared to have 9 legs. I was confused if it's even a spider. I thought about screaming, but I didn't want it to harm me. I wanted it off without hurting me or me hurting it. It seemed like hours just staring at it like a staring contest. I lost it when the ping pong ball hit me on the back that startled me and made me shake causing the spider to move up my arm past near my shoulder and suddenly, it felt like I got a sharp syringe stabbed into my arm.
The spider bit into my skin where my veins were. I screamed and Caroline and our cousin dropped their paddles and they ran over to me and a few Family members also ran down stairs. Having tears in my eye, I could still see the spider making its escape as if it just broke out of jail. Pain is all I could feel, my heart racing fast around the track, my mind becoming blurry like an unfocused camera, and my body shutting down as a blackout occurs. I felt like I'm falling into the abyss until... I black out.
