In the dark.Lost.
And alone.
On an abandoned road, taking the lead.
"One foot in front of the other." Is what Srrynn whispers to herself every time her thoughts linger to what happened that morning.
She got disowned by her own parents.
She definitely doesn't know the reason why.
"You're thinking about it again Srrynn..." Images of her mom yanking her hair and pulling her out of there door, flashed in her head. Her eyes begin to sting, as she approaches the 150th lamppost.
And yes she's been keeping count. It's one of the other ways to keep her mind off of things...
She halts under the rays of the lamp. Hanging her head low, hoping its bright energy would transfer into her.
With rage and concussion crashing against each other in her heart, glaring on the still worn out cement, a massive shadow overlapped hers.
Quickly, Srrynn leaped away from the shady form.
The figure did the same movement.
"What the!?..." Srrynn's amber eyes widened with fear, at the sight of a dark hovering blobby mist.
Its black shade matched her jet black hair.
Srrynn, frozen, in awe and afraid at the same time, stared at it.
She tilted her head. The black mist twisted in response.
"Huh..." Srrynn's frighten face softens, as she hesitantly steps forward. It carefully shifted closer. "What are you?" She slowly put her left hand on to the deform shadow.
"That's your shadow, mimicking you." A male voice echoed behind her.
Srrynn, whip her head to where the voice led.
"Hello?" Srrynn bellowed as she cupped her mouth. Nothing.
She turned to face the dark cloud. But, it's gone.
So there's this black misty-cloud and a male spooky voice, totally not scary.... But the dark figure wasn't that terrifying. Srrynn thought as she scanned the area, raising her guard up. Srrynn has been attending karate class as a black belter for almost two years. She's ready to whatever comes next.
But something about what's occurring seemed painfully familiar to Srrynn.
A weird shadow. A male voice conducting her... Srrynn thought trying to make connections.
"Come out!" Srrynn commanded, her hands getting tired of her curled fingers.
"I don't have to," the voice said coming from behind, "I'm already here."
Srrynn, startled, backed away rather fast.
A boy, a couple of feet away from her, his glowing pale blue eyes, matching his silver-tipped bangs with jet black roots, studies her.
He was hot, she admits, but he was also... Shady.
"How did yo-" Srrynn started.
"No time for questions princess, we have to get you home." He strides forward.
"Home? I just got kicked out of my 'home'" Srrynn had no idea why he told a complete edgy stranger that. And why in the world did he call her 'princess'?
"I'm not talking about your human one." He said flatly.
Srrynn chuckled, this scenario reminded her of a book series.
"Don't tell me you're going to bring to me into an Elvin home, then I'd have fight an evil organization." Srrynn laughed but soon halted when the silver tipped boy stayed silent.
"Wai-"
"I told you no questions." He flung his arm, somehow making Srrynn hover off the ground.
Srrynn, swinging both her legs and flapping her arms, "How are you doing this?!"
He face-palmed, "Stop flapping your arms like that! What are you a chicken?"
"So you can ask questions and not me?" Srrynn pouted angered.
"Yes." He responded. He levitated her stomach on to his right shoulder, making her legs and arms hang.
"What is the meaning of this?" Srrynn yelped.
"Not now, princess."
"Why do you keep calling me that!?" She asked impatiently.
"Probably because you are one."
She felt a chilly blizzard sweep across her body, as darkness snatched her consciousness.
Srrynn's theory was correct. They're going to the Lost Cities. So could that mean she's an ...elf? Or is it an elf princess?
