1. My username has nothing to do with my real name. My username is lolagirl29, and my real name is Mary. I actually intended the username to be, like, “LOL a girl,” but then everyone that sees it thinks that it’s lola and that my name is Lola and…yeah… xD
2. I’m Catholic! I’ve been born and raised a Catholic and my faith really means so much to me <3 Someone on here asked me once if I actually believe the stuff that I believe or if I just went along with it because my parents do. The answer is that I’ve encountered God personally over the years and dedicated myself on my own accord, without the pushing of anyone else. …so yeah!
3. I have a sister 13 years older than me and a brother 11 years older than me. Therefore, I get spoilt by our parents, and I get to do all the stuff that they weren’t allowed to have. BOOM shaka laka!
4. I’m homeschooled~ Bet you guys didn’t know that one! …Or maybe I mentioned it already ages ago and I just forgot…but yeah, I’ve been homeschooled all my life. In case you’re wondering, my siblings went to school, but I never did. Whenever I meet someone new and I tell them I’m homeschooled, they ask a whole bunch of questions. (Yes, I still have exams) (No, I don’t do my work in pajamas) (Yes, I follow normal school holidays) (No, I don’t get that lonely) (Yes, there are sports teams for homeschoolers, or you can join the teams of a school near you) (Yes, I’ve seen Mean Girls) (No, I can’t sleep in) (No, I’m not a genius) (Yes, I’ve thought about going to public/private schools) (Yes, I would like that cookie, thanks! *takes cookie* *eats cookie* *demands another cookie*)
5. I love video games! If it wasn’t obvious by the fanfics I write, I enjoy video games. Particularly RPGs like Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy. (Psst! If you haven’t already, check out my stuff xD) TBH I haven’t actually been that involved in gaming this year because it’s been pretty hectic. (I’m in Year 12…what do you Americans call it…I’m a junior? Yeah. Self-explanatory.) But once the school year is over, I think I’m going to jump right back onto that bandwagon :D
6. Books are life. LIFE, I say. LIFE. My mother used to take me to the library every week when I was a kid, so I’ve always been obsessed with books. If I didn’t love reading so much, I never would have discovered Wattpad. Well, that's pretty obvious. I mean, why would anyone be on here if not to read? Anyway...
7. …I suck at swimming? I don’t know why, but I’m a terrible swimmer. I mean, I can swim. I just suck at it. My best friend has a massive pool so she likes to swim, meanwhile I paddle along the sides. In my brain, deep end = ohmygoshI’mgoingtodrownSOMEONESAVEME.
8. I don’t need a boyfriend because I have a cat. My cat is my main bae. Interesting story: I got a kitten as a present for my 11th birthday! …But then my mum ran over her a month and three days later. Thanks, mum. This cat (my sister’s cat before she moved out) never liked the kitten anyway. But yeah. This cat is my love. My baby. The Riku of the real world. #foreveralone
9. Kpop fan for life, son! I love all kinds of music. With kpop, most people get put off because it’s a different language. But I was fine with it because a) I’m Indian so I’m used to listening to music in languages I barely understand with crazy dances, and b) I was already watching anime at that point, so I was used to East Asian concepts and ish. SHINee is numero uno in my heart and always will be.
10. Choi Minho of SHINee is my husband. Riku of Kingdom Hearts is on the side. No explanation needed. Unless you want me to go on an 8-page fangirl rant xD
11. …Crap, I’m running out of vaguely interesting things…um…oh! I’m allergic to pollen. Basically, I have hayfever. And it’s really annoying! Right now it’s spring (I live in New Zealand) and all my friends are like, “Ah! The flowers smell so nice! The grass is so fresh! Hey Mary, sniff this flower!” Meanwhile, I stand there with watery eyes and inflamed sinuses. Oh, and don’t even get me started on those foods that have rosewater in it (basically the majority of Indian desserts >.<)! On the plus side, at least my future boyfriend won’t have to spend money buying me flowers ;D
12. I'm shortsighted. I've probably been shortsighted for longer than I can remember, but it became really bad when I was 9 or 10 ish because I used to play computer games all day, e'ry day. So i needed strong glasses by the time I was 11, and I've just gotten a new pair that's a little bit stronger.
13. I finally made an Instagram after 2 years of resisting it. “Make an Instagram account!” they said. “It’ll be fun!” they said. Well, YES. It is fun. But now I’m taking pictures of unnecessary randomness and posting it online. Thanks, Instagram. Follow me if you like, I’m ‘maryyy_29’. Just let me know in the comments that you are so that I don’t block you ^.^ And don't worry, I'm trying not to be a stereotypical Instagram girl. (...*deletes pics of ombré hair and selfies and Starbucks frappucinos*)
14. My hair is actually ombréd. My hair is black, and it's ombréd brown. At least, it was. I had it done at the end of last year for my sister's wedding, since I was a bridesmaid. But, naturally, I've have a few haircuts since then ("Just a trim," they said. "It's only a few centimetres," they said.), and about 75% of it is cut off. *sobs*
15. I want to study Medicine to become a doctor, or Psychology to become a guidance counsellor. I don’t know which one I’ll do. Hell, maybe I’ll do neither. Maybe I’ll just marry a rich guy or live a tree or become a Moroccan dancer or something. (Because I could be an amazing dancer. *trips on air*)
16. Sometimes I like to hold my water bottle and stagger around like I’m drunk. I swear, I’m sane.
17. I’ve never watched Doctor Who or Supernatural. And I don’t plan on doing it. Because I know – oh, I know – I’ll get sucked into the fandom. And I don’t want that. Half my friends are Supernatural fans and/or Whovians. They can be crazy. I mean…I’ve seen things, guys…I’ve seen things. Do you guys have any idea how insane kpop fans can be? I ain’t signing up to be a part of two more crazy fandoms. Uh-uh. No way. …I bet that I’ll be in at least one of the fandoms before I finish high school…
18. I secretly have a passion to be a dancer. It’s not just me, I swear! I think everyone secretly wants to be a kick-ass dancer. But let’s be honest, we can’t be bothered getting up to get water, let alone dance xD
19. The Kardashian Hollywood app game thing is ruining my life. Yes, I play that game. AND I CAN’T STOP.
20. I’ve recently gained a crush on a guy. And he’s so nice to me. Naturally, I thought he liked me back. …But it turns out he’s nice to everybody. *flips the desk*
Damn, that was harder than I thought it would be! Who knew thinking of 20 things about yourself could be so hard? I bet most of the stuff I’ve written is totally boring. Meh. Oh well!
