(Allilah's POV)

I threw open a door with mold and mushrooms on it. I stepped in,

"Well, well, well. Look at what the cat dragged in," someone croaked. I stepped forward.

"Nice trick, didn't think you could pull it off. And guess what? You didn't," I shot back. Her face had warts on it and her hair was tangled and greasy. This is Trishy, the witch. I felt a stare, but not from the old hag. I turned around and saw Roussel. I curtsied and he rose me. He looked hard at Trishy and said,"Why did you do that?" I guess he figured out what had happened. Trishy started stuttering and finally turned away. She rose her hand and did some weird hand motions and soon Roussel and I were whisked out of the room. I stared at the ground, anger flowing through me with some other weird emotions.

"Why did you follow me?" I asked, still looking at the ground. He shifted and then spoke.

"I was worried about you." I didn't know what to say after that. I could feel him looking at me and then it just came out.

"Why? Did you think I couldn't have handled it? I would've gotten lost in these tunnels? When I set out on my own, I have my own reasons." Realizing how badly he could punish me, I got onto my knees and held my head down and continually said, "I'm sorry," for a while.

(Roussel's POV)

What Allilah had just said hurt me. But I knew that sometimes, she just can't stop it. And when she got down on her knees, it was like I was Mallo. Something was up.

"It's ok." I knelt down beside her and stroked her back. She was crying now. Why? I don't know. But I wanted her to stop. "Shh. It's ok, you didn't do anything," I whispered. She stopped(gradually, of course) and looked at me. I looked back into her eyes. I started to lean forward but stopped when I heard footsteps and voices. She hadn't really noticed what I had tried to do so I was grateful for that. Allilah stood up and pulled me up. Kylily, Crissan, and Actro came into the passageway.

"Come on guys, I'm famished!" Crissan said. Then Allilah and Actro led the way to the ballroom.

(Actro's POV)

I looked at Kylily. She was just so, captivating. Not to mention polite, sweet, and beautiful. She must've felt my stare because she looked at me. She gave me a confused look as if to say, " What is it? Do you need something?" I felt my cheeks grow hot and Allilah kicked me under the table. Twice. That probably meant I was blushing. Kylily blushed too and smiled a bit. I returned the smile and noticed Crissan staring at me, mouth open. She gave me her ooh-you-have-a-crush face and I shrugged and pretended not to know what she was talking about. Roussel broke the silence. "So, what are the plans for today?"

"I guess we could go to Rikking Hill," Allilah suggested. It was one of her many favorite places.

"Sure," Kylily said.

"Oh! And we could go to that new restaurant on that street?" Crissan asked. She wasn't the best with details. Allilah rolled her eyes. She was probably the only one who knew what she was talking about. Having Kylily as her her master, she had a lot of free time. At least once a week, Allilah explores the town to see what's new and other stuff. I don't really know though. I don't have as much free time.

"Sure," was all Kylily said. Crissan beamed with happiness. I looked around the table. Allilah was staring at her food. She looked at me and I gave her a what-are-you-doing?! look. She shrugged and started eating. Roussel was staring at her. Hmm...

~In town~

(Allilah's POV)

I stopped in front of a fancy white building with gold mixed in. The whole building was made of marble. It was pretty. I turned around and everyone (except Crissan) was gaping.
