At the same time, at her house, Charlotte's phone was ringing.
"Hello, Charlotte speaking," she answered.
"Hi!" said an Australian voice.
Charlotte, of course, recognised it immediately. "Calum!" she breathed.
She heard Calum laugh. "Yeah, it's me. Uh, I... I just wanted to ask you something..."
Charlotte calmed herself down.
"You can ask me anything," she answered.
Calum's nervousness could almost be heard over the phone.
"Well..." His voice trailed off.
"Come on Cal!" Luke shouted in the background.
"I wondered if you were free today, I mean... I was planning to go to a waterpark and then have a meal..."
"Are you asking me on a date?" Charlotte asked incredulously.
"Just to get to know you better," Calum answered.
"Of course!" Charlotte said. "Just give me a minute," and then she was running out of the house.
