Ch. 17 - House Party

~ Chapter 17: House Party ~

♥ Gabby's POV: ♥

"This.... Is your house!?!?" I said, a little too loudly when Justin and I arrived at his home. Well.. More like a mansion.

"What'd you expect?" he smirked, unbuckling his seat belt and sliding out of the car.

"I honestly wasn't thinking about that," I admit, getting off the car as well.

"I hope it doesn't change your mind about going inside," he said, as he walked over to my side.

"Are you kidding me? Hell yeah I wanna go in," I giggled, grabbing his hand. "C'mon, what are you waiting for? Lead me inside!" I was getting a bit TOO excited. He started laughing as he ran, pulling me along with him. I also ran quickly, in order to keep up with him through the humongous front yard. It was so huge, it had a fountain in the middle, with nicely cut bushes surrounding it. We stepped through the stoned paths that were spaced in between the fountain and fancy bushes until we finally reached the front door. I stopped, waiting for Justin to make a movement and open the door, but he didn't.

"I have an idea..." he suddenly grinned. Oh no...

"And what's that?" I asked, crossing my arms.

"We should go through the back door and come in quietly. That way, we can go scare Ryan who's inside," he explained his evil plan, smirking creepily with those amazing lips. My heart fluttered and I stood frozen 'til I realized something.

"Wait... Isn't this house like... REALLY BIG! It's gonna take a while to run ALL THE WAY around the entire mansion!" I pointed out. Justin gave me a look. Not just A look but THE look. That just can't mean anything good.

"That's why we'll take the mini karts over there," he told me as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Wh-... What?"

"Just be careful not to accidently crash onto the backyard pool. It's huge, and if you lose control of the wheel, you might crash into it and drown," he added.

Scared, my eyes widened in fear. "T-the pool?" I stuttered, feeling my hands shake.

"I'm just kidding, Gabs, nothing will happen! If you want, just get in one kart with me. Everything will be fine, I've driven one of these multiple times," he urged, taking my hand again. My heart beat quickened as I felt the soft skin of his palm come into contact with mine. Why's he so se-.. Cute...?

"Okay, I trust you," I nod.

"Ha! Bad idea," he teased, and my face fell. He paused and looked me in the eyes. "Kidding!! Now LEGGO!"

With one push, he dragged me forward, leading me through maze of paths. Once everything around me cleared, I could spot a big, black mini kart parked in a corner. I remained silent as Justin and I worked our way into getting inside.
